A Friend Who Cares
Who new when we met how well we would blend
a trusted companion I will always defend
with her there is no need to pretend
if ever in trouble her hand she would lend
thank you dear God for sending this friend

Look Beyond the Moon
Look beyond the moon, look above the fire.
see what most miss, gain what most desire.
Right there in front of you, well within reach.
Look past thine eyes, for they will beseech.

Winter Woes
The winter days drag and drag
the frown on my face increasingly sags
turning me into a haggard old hag
my husband continues to nag and nag
he's tired of living in ratted old rags
time is frozen and forever lags
this season is one big snag after snag

Forsaken the Torture
My life in the past
is not one to be thought of
for it brings nothing but poison
Too many things
if discussed would cause
only despair and smoldering corrosion
I’d rather live in the here and now
embracing my new beginnings
To stay where it’s warm
no longer torn
freely capable to thrive and prosper

You Want To Dance
So you want to dance
Go and change your pants
The jeans your wearing just simply won’t due

Next we’ll view your moves
See how your body groves
Please don’t take too long I only have a few

Oh my you’ve done this before
I’d like to see some more
Maybe you could teach me something new

Catch Me Quickly
If you can only see
your love will set me free
give yourself to me
or you can let me be

My heart has the lock
your heart has the key
take insert and twist
an easy remedy

Make me not wait
I have chosen my mate
this is our fate
no time to be late

I long for your love
as I hope you long for mine
let us fly high above
until the end of time

Moment To Indulge
There we stand beneath a leaf ridded tree
Holding one another gazing deeply with eyes locked
We listen to the tall delicate grass sway in the wind
Across the calm waters the moon floats full
Beams of glowing light spread throughout the horizon
The indigo sky sparkles with glittery stars
This is a night full of dreams and intense emotions
Extraordinary opportunity to feast on each others lips

Listen To Your Mind
Hiding inside
no room to hide
not enough space to move inside

 Stay out there
stay fair
 always beware

You come in here thinking it will solve everything
if you just stay closed up you won't feel any pain

Your wrong you'll die in here
this place is made to operate you out there
you stay in here it will lead to despair

Go out there spread the news
you are to be sharing and bearing win or lose.

Evil Has Gone
I’ve stared evil in the face
And feed into its lies
I ignored all the signs
Saying my goodbyes

My life was almost lost
Nearly gave it away for free
Not knowing my path was cursed
I leaped willingly

I suffered a great while
not understanding why
until a man entered my life
showing me what to live by

Now I've been set straight
no reason for remorse
we are to have a baby
what a beautiful new course

An Empty Something
My mind is blank
 I cannot think
  My words just sink
and I'm left with nothing but a keyboard

Straining my brain
 in the wrong lane
  trying to stay sane
my mind is breaking and this I can't afford

Finally a notion
 wheels are in motion
like the churning of an ocean
the words came and oh how they poured

Feeling so cheerful
 pleasant not tearful
  no longer fearful
my writings took off and they soared

Defeat the Suffering
Listen to your heart
listen to your soul
take another chance
not dig another hole

Not a countless Victim
Not the vultures Prey
open up your mind
take another way

You can always make it
take a stand and try
not just sit there thinking
it will make you cry

Take a leap of faith
Run into His lands
God is always waiting
to take you by the hand

Now is your time
clear all of your denial
be glad He's here for you
Grab a hold and smile

A Cowboy Is
A cowboy is what we are not
and never will again be
what I loved most about his ways
he kept in tune with nature for he
knew this was his destiny
the nature we have now is not the same
it is corroded and tossed aside
the same can be said with the rules
given that we cannot follow nor abide
how I wish I could go back in time
to live among the gifted
lots of hard work no crying in mind
the cowboy has been forgotten and shifted
