An Empty Something

My mind is blank
 I cannot think
  My words just sink
and I'm left with nothing but a keyboard

Straining my brain
 in the wrong lane
  trying to stay sane
my mind is breaking and this I can't afford

Finally a notion
 wheels are in motion
like the churning of an ocean
the words came and oh how they poured

Feeling so cheerful
 pleasant not tearful
  no longer fearful
my writings took off and they soared

It's wonderful when the inspiration for poetry finally comes, Virginia. Never feel fearful, you have talent! Love, Carolyn (If you need something to make you laugh, check out my latest post "He'd Rather Be Home Alone." ) Then Smile!
