Crap Happens
There was a man named Hickenlooper.
Who invented a dog poop scooper.
Something went awry
Flinging contents into the sky
And stinking the town into a stupor....

wildflowers of all colors
raptly I stand still

flinging both arms wide
underneath the citron sun
I whirl and I dance

the hour of languor
has no way impacted me
I twirl in fragrance...

Flinging my blanket off I looked outside, to

Without You
Without you,

worn down, weary,
staggering into tomorrow,
dissolving my todays, grim, dreary,

I crawl, slipping out of my skin,
flinging laughter, joy, contentment,
into the gaping abyss of life's dustbin.

Without you...

A Tramore Bay Sunrise
Golden orb escapes
 from night born clouds
The grey sea smiles
 azure shades of welcome
Powder white seagulls
 sing out Hallelujah
The sky robs Turners palette
  flinging its contents
Smothering the air
resurrecting my bay...

Thou Art God
Thou art God,
O Naked Girl,
And all of Thee be fine.
I, too, God,
With air for wearing,
And all of Me be Thine.
Come! Let's roll upon the bed
And set the springs a-singing;
Two into One,
God unto God,
Our virginity far-flinging!...

Firs, oaks surround a path
Flamboyant in hued tints,
Forest of all dreamers
Flinging its lush canvas.

Flushed with nature's splendor;
Flaming woods...evergreen!

Move
Branches
In the wind
Leaves flip over
The red berries fall
Small sparrows fluttering
Flinging birdseed all around
Ripples on the water’s surface
Designs in the language of the wind
Moving my emotions until the end

Premium Member On sending your new poem into that black hole
Do you ever dread sending your new poem into that black hole,
for fear it won’t come out the other side with an intact soul?
Oh, pay no mind to those goddamn critics,
who love flinging their faulty analytics.
Don’t let any of their cruel comments take its toll.

Pedestal Breaking
While I watch her, an adored jewel,
Flinging on with my old pal
She crashes from the pedestal,
Like a burst of glass
As love etches death on the alley.

Stars In a Night Sky
The Goliath reaches deep underground,
grabbing a hand full of coal
Crushing the black rock in his huge maw,
polishing it to gleaming diamonds.
Flinging the treasure into the ebon sky.
So at night we can look heavenward,
and enjoy a million stars
 in a midnight sky....

Pine
Day
after day,
night after
night,
the lonely tall pine
embraces her many
lodgers
in her stiff outstretched arms.
And in every nook and
cranny they forage, hunt and horde
before the coming winter.
And in
return
they
flinging
their refuse
to the soft earth....

Premium Member A Little Drama
A sudden wind ripples over the staid waters
whipping around like a blustery drama queen
flinging water droplets in its wake.
Placid pigeons are suddenly stirred
wild wings whir, along with excited coos
as the midday sun smiles through the clouds.

Premium Member thoughts are flinging themselves at me
Sometimes I go on a weird out-of-my-head writing spree
Devouring crazy insane ideas
Spitting them up onto a page
This morning is one of those maniacal times
Thoughts are flinging themselves at me
Demanding to be not only heard, but shared
I feel it would be dangerous to ignore them...

Flinging, splattering,dripping drop..by..drop
Unaware of the present,random spontaneity
in liquid flowing paint.
Motion made visible,memories
arrested in space,the painting
lives a life of its own in pure
harmony of easy give and take....

Premium Member Thumping Bumping Rabbit Hop
I am doing the thumping bumping rabbit hop
I jump and bounce, no place to stop
My feet are wiggling, my tail is jiggling
My hair is flinging around like a mop

You cannot stop me, I have to move and groove.
The rabbit understands the weird ways I move.
We dance the wiggle jiggle and love it so!
I take my rabbit partner wherever I go....

Lois looked super dainty and delicate
With lace collars and tiny white linen gloves
Shiny patent leather shoes and pink ruffles
she sat as if on a throne, a little princess

Her three brothers knew better.
They called her the lava flinging volcano
When they riled her, she gave better than she got
She was a terror, cloaked in a little girl costume...

Premium Member Eighth Grade Dance
Henry was hopping around on a foot or three
we all laughed at him not realizing
he was grabbing the girls attention

We were in eighth grade
all we cared about was our height
None of us was half as tall as the girls

I finally figured it out why Henry was a clown
he was gyrating like a top
flinging them here and there
we took his leftovers gladly...
