A bowl of cereal
                  The crunch of memory
                                             Sweetened with blueberries

Eclipsed Soul

Rock my memories,
Pieces of 'flashback' fall out from inside,
It was sepia fantasy and fake blessings,
That came in brief but eclipsed my soul.

A FLOWERING FLASHBACK

Beautiful flowers,
Once growing free in nature,
Now up for sale:
Nature's flowers reflecting
An ebon human flashback:-

Fall is a time capsule.
Precious moments turn into memories we treasure.
We become collectors of flashbacks.

Relieve

flashback
once again
reliving
moments past
each time
all to familiar old
mental pictures
come rushing
back into view
drugging up
buried emotional
remains
Form: Lyric

Rain

I'm having a flashback
to the moment the sky cracked,
and you fell through,
settling on me like morning dew.
You tangled in my hair,
and there you remain—
a sweet memory of soothing rain.

Road Trip 1

Oasis on sixty-six
beckons weary travelers.
One step off the chosen path.
Nostalgic flashback.

This poem was inspired by my stay at the Blue Swallow Motel on Historic Route 66 in Tucumcari, NM.

Lost Angel's Love

What is the use of a tear
When my heart is already broken
Opportunities flashback
Chances come and forgotten
It’s always too late
And never too early
I’ve lost you my love
Your angel’s love

Back In Time

Listening to oldies
Is a flashback through your mind.
Letting the disco, rock and roll, and pop
Take you back to that time
Where life was left on the dance floor
And you had to be “Stayin’ Alive, Stayin’ Alive”.

Deja Vu

Like if I'm living in a flashback.
I don't learn.
I get burned.
I will take you back.
Nothing changes but the place and time.
I fall for the lies each time.
I must be dense.
I keep going back for a repeat.

Premium Member Sixties Flashback

A wreath appeared before me -
or was it a noose?
My head soon thrust through it,
I was Bullwinkle Moose.

It happened so fast -
my thoughts in a whirl -
were I one or the other,
I'd be Rocky the Squirrel.

Flashback

He looks for her in every face he sees
In hope of just one more glance
Lost in the thought captures his breath
Lids closing over in memory a flashback
Beats thumping hard exploding in his chest
His experience of love - that he once had

A Flashback of Life - The Tesla

A birth of new life
In the middle of the night
He stands still

Showered upon the earth
Bringing new hope and beginnings
Accomplishing their will

The making of curiosity
The earth's feature
Brought his mind and body on a hill

Flashback

These memories are just phantoms
the dust of demons long since destroyed
why does the mind always betray
maybe this what it means to be human
they are the ashes of ancient ruins
from a long forgotten war
whose only spectator was me

Lost Memories Define

Traveling the world in my mind,
 ghosts linger behind

Traveling the world in my mind,
each flashback a sign

Traveling the world in my mind,
space harder to find

Traveling the world in my mind
—memories define

Premium Member Chastity Vow- Double Tanka

Full and luscious lips
Tempting treat to hungry eye
Flashback memories
Hot lips in constant pursuit
Now chastity vow taken

Other lips await
Longing to explore and claim
Willing travelers
Virgin lips in cherry red
Chastity vow forgotten

My Artwork Is In the Raindrops of Your Memory

my artwork is in the raindrops of your memory
my yearning for flashback fantasy motivates me to confront you
as the miniature blocks of ice begin to form on the desert of my lips,
i suddenly remember why i always douse acid in the eyes of the awnings of my mind....

LOST AND FOUND:
AN INTROSPECTIVE FLASHBACK

Lost and in despair,
I sat in abandonment:
Self-belief found me:-

Glory be to God
For my self-introspection,
And His healing grace:-

To not know yourself,
Can really be horrific:
Not seeking to, worst.

Flashback

Swallowing darkness is ahead
One is never prepared
A conclusion lies wake

Warmth is at your back
They know you cared
Warmth is fading
You clench your fists
Grind your teeth
Shut your eyes

“No, this isn’t fine”

“It’s alright, how about….
One last time”

Premium Member Floating and Flying

I see a mushroom tipped ninety with stem to right cap to the left shooting out streaks of anxiety where color was now is bereft. What was I saying? Can't keep track... Must be having some kind of flashback.

Flashback

Mind twisting and turning
Visions teasing and taunting
These delusions return once more
Driving me to insanity with no cure
Pounding in my head insistently beating
No respite in view no relief perceiving
More and more I despise this gyre
Again and again it leads me to surrender

Premium Member Psycho Pumpkins

Psycho pumpkins will always burn
although the glow sometimes blows out;
Flambeau filled with a thousand souls,
know ghosts have an eternal shout;

Maniac that wields an axe,
Jack O’ Lantern with orange lights;
Track of blood on carved memories,
flashback to dark October nights.
