A Frail Man From Japan
There was a frail man from Japan,
Who tripped and fell whene'er he ran, He walked with a chop stick, As his bones would squeak,
And used his fingers to eat his flan....

Premium Member Fairy Light Given Hope By Frog
Fairy Light was terrified when she saw witch’s pan.
Bold bubbling eyeballs floating from a mail man.
Frog was swimming casually. Said he had a plan.
“First though, girl, I have to work on my tan.”
Fairy Light was released by head of the Witches Clan.
I am afraid frog stayed too long, was turned into delicious flan....

Sickly sweet harbor aromas permeate my heart shape cell from
without I have no recollection of remembrances dead squid’s tentacles squirm and tease the
bars of an angelic orangutan eating recently plucked dragonfly wings
and flan on chips of led based paint from dripping pipes of biotoxic ammonia

Ward Place
The neighbourhood was very rough;
My gran was sweet but, oh, so tough.

Most people didn’t go to work -
My mother said they’d rather shirk.

Some disappeared and then returned
(They’d been in jail, I later learned).

The local toughs respected Gran
And came to call for buns or flan.

Next door, there lived a dozen boys -
They dressed in rags and had no toys.

Although my family moved away,
I dream of Ward Place to this day....

Behind the Dark Cloud
When the sky goes black,
And the clouds, less gay,
The sun hides, shining from the back;
Jesus is always my stay.

Tho' life be grim, or vexed,
Nothing can foil His plan.
In Christ is my future indexed,
Starting me each day with a flan.

The Lord's never scarce to save.
Nearest when my strength is gone.
He lends a hand or a stave,
And lets my cares withdrawn.

Jesus is never asleep in the stern
When my boat jolts in the storm....

It's Pie Day
There's something I can't figure out.
It's divisive, if I may.
A never-ending question about
Why today is called Pie day.

I won't mince words, I cannot lie
Crusty as I may feel
I've always enjoyed a piece of pie
A nice addition to a meal.

But why celebrate in March today?
Pie is eaten all year long
A circular dish, a tart, flan, souffle.
Or have I the answer wrong?

Some other meaning must lie beneath
Oh well. Happy March fourteenth.
