My mind is experiencing a fastidious flatulence; slightly fiendish, and not for the
finicky or fainthearted. 
I fidget amidst it's fanatical far-fetched farce yet stand fearless, watching it's face
flounder in a foolhardy feeble-minded foible. 
With fervor I say farewell forever to it's festering, feverish fetish, as it's frantic
fiasco foams, flails and finally fails.

As by revelation, moon unfolds
A sleeping angel mellows out
In a crevasse, naked
Dropping the apparel of foliage:
Hair drooped round his sinless face,
Engrossed there the toil of seafaring
Swarm of limpid sweat drops
Moving like dancers
As if after a ballet in summer storm
The crafty water flails
With deep foam
The baby of the earth
Destined for distant shores.

  oblivion is nothing new ~ i’ve been there once and will go back too

  i awoke crying as sensations grew ~ til death rubbed out all i knew

  god only knows who’s really who ~ i’m bamboozled a sign could do

  blackboard equations esoteric and true ~ chalk dust for us to chew

  can’t see past these monokus ~ that’s okay try this existential clue

Laboring through the thoughts in my brain
Always keeps me from the sleep I desire.
Breathing unevenly, my body flails from left to
Right, working myself through the troubled maze.
Is my son doing well at college?
Now where did I put my glasses?
Think we will ever conquer COVID?
Hope my aunt will survive her surgery.
Is my mom getting enough company?
Nodding off, just as my alarm begins to charm,
Ending another night of twisting and turning through my labyrinthine mind....

A bird keeper at a loss?
When he sees his mistake,
As a million sparrows flutter out their cage.

Have you ever watched him
As he frantically flails his arms in the air,
Like a mad man,
Reaching amidst his confusion and the bird’s attempts at freedom?

Watch their wings slip through his fingers,
A million times,
As he tries to control their outburst,
Before they level the sky

Loose feathers in the air and in his hair
Memories of his mistake,
When he left the latch open....
