I stumble through life overwhelmed by experiences & memories, disorientated will we know who’s who? I see the resemblance to Magoo— just luck or divine intervention that led his disastrous could’ve beens. I’m glad David, that you gave a clue anything helps. Nice to see you back!

Oh I really don’t know anything for sure Anaya, my line god only knows who’s really who, can be looked at in a few ways, perhaps a god really does know, the important thing is to get through life without thinking we have all the answers, and by keeping an open mind, thanks so much for the visit, cheers David

Welcome back David and as always some powerful lines with which to re-enter the stage. The strength of the first monoku is really stunning - perpetual cycle - whether within this life or between them, is forever fascinating to ponder. There's people throwing themselves headlong into oblivion, whilst others climb out. Whatever it all means, so far it seems it's a temporary state. I'm also fascinated with chewing on chalk dust - so entrenched to learn that the lesson itself consumed - fascinating

I only didn't comment on the Mr Magoo line because I ran out of characters. Totally my era :)

Heya Dilly, a tentative return for now, not quite from oblivion although it has been a few long weeks since I last posted, that chalk dust line was my favourite, and you totally get it the way I meant it to be interpreted, I do like the Mr Magoo one too, ironically it brings the whole sketchy picture into focus, cheers David

Excellent ink, You are a master of the rhyming monoku form David - I posted a few yesterday but its not my usual style of poetry but sometimes the words flow and you have to post! :-) hugs jan xx

They do take a bit of patience and practice Jan, but are very handy for delivering a concise message, in this case I was only trying to express my thoughts on oblivion and existentialism into a few lines, I mean what could go wrong lol! Cheers David

Really? Six monorhyming Monoku sets the bar a titch high. I'm afraid I'll not measure up. I particularly like your blackboard line... sometimes everything seems to be a mystery of one sort or another. Worth trying to make the puzzle pieces fit? I'm still pondering the thought.

Wise words Lin, I tried out many different routes mostly when I was a kid, always liked the challenge and exploring different paths.

The path back doesn't have to be the same path once taken. If you question your route, take a detour as long as you end up exactly where you want to be.

I started out with about 3 Lin, but didn’t feel my overall picture was quite there yet, so searched a little deeper and ultimately came to the conclusion of a Mr Magoo type of existential state at work, says a lot about me doesn’t it, :) I’m trying to find a way back into the soup after my few weeks absence, thanks so much, cheers David

I’ve often wondered whether me being dead will be me in that same state as before I was born. I don’t remember any of that. I’ll add that with life I often feel I’m playing a game I don’t really know the rules to. I’m blindly trying to keep score with the world and what goes on around me. Maybe I need new balls.Great work. “Love all”. :). Cheers - Gary

You totally get my Monokus Gary, I wasn’t sure if anyone might share a similar outlook on life as I do, living really is the only possible reality imaginable, because we have to be alive to imagine, and what an impossible reality it throws up at us, everyday rules are one thing, but the overwhelming ones governing existence seem haphazard and at the mercy of luck, good, bad, and indifferent, thanks so much for looking in, cheers David
