Blatancy Ours
Take over control

Deeper firmer still

Swim
Somedays, the tide only laughs
at the sandbags we put up.
When the ocean of emotion
breaks with waves above our hearts,
we swim or drown.

The swell of current overrides
and riptides pull us down.
Move parallel to shore against the tide
till firmer ground is found.
Swim.

Honestly
Honestly I wish I was braver,
taller,
my nose smaller,
my fingers longer,
hair blonder, teeth whiter,
my thighs firmer
I wish I woke up earlier,
wasn't so late,
Read more,
Cared more,
Loved more,
Danced more,
I wish I tried harder,
wasn't so negative,
smiled longer,
stood straighter,

Honestly...I wish people weren't so Honest....

My options are limited. My heart, on the other hand, is not. I could be constrained. My mind, on the other hand, is not. My body hurts. My soul, on the other hand, does not. My options are limited. My ideas are not. My words are uninhibited. My conscience is clear. Even with my hands bound. I will always acquire a firmer stance.

Lockpick
She gives away so little, scraps of
intelligence, barest insights, unconfirmable
though out there I’m sure, waiting for
verification by heart, united futures only.
One could insist on truth, but expect a dodge,
feelings flying fast for firmer ground, falling
into a sandpit of forgotten facts, unexplained pasts.
I yearn for the password, the secret code, the
combination that will unlock mysteries....

Touching
Slow gentle sliding touch

Barely there fallowing form

Quiet movement seeking finding

Going everywhere touching all

Returning here there touch again

Favorites found

Focus combines this that

Together building growing strong

Moving quicker firmer more

Growing growing strong strong

All is focus

All is now

Over coming

Pasting now

Slow gentle touching

Fading slowing

Touch...

Measureless
To measure up the moments
How measureless they be
‘Til toil consumes and life concludes
We notice – suddenly
That ‘twas not so immeasurable
Nor not so ponderous
But with a token patience
We could have counted all

And whether life had beckoned
And sped a firmer hand
Or whether it ease gradually
A snail upon the sand
So much had thus been granted
And yet so little still
That had we truly tallied
We'd perish – unfulfilled...

About the Wine
A firmer grasp upon the grape, some have.
Eons pass,
and mountain water clears what always is.
Many do what mother's never should.
While a father's vineyard grows but heady wine.

Does a certain type of green or purple grape.
Grow aught but Grace?
Does a woman's golden hand,
when kneeling down is pulling all the weeds.

Thus produce a better seed as seeds do know.
Music makes the leaves turn green,
as leaves ideally grow....

The Pen
The pen's a sword for carving poems.
A wand for measuring beats.
A whip to keep the rhythm
and a stick to tap the tweets.

It's silent to the ear-drums
when heard inside the head.
Words firmer than my chin bone
in notes from what seems dead.

It points to things I question
and scribbles errors I make.
And when it writes some new stuff
forgives me my mistake.

At rest upon my paper
it signals that I'm done.
And when I go to grab it
I'll click it just for fun....

Around the Bend
Around the bend, up a tiny knoll
A lonely one walks, bewildered
And uncertain of their goal

Can you walk a little faster
Offer shaking of their hand?
Mitigating hardship,
Say you understand?

When parting at the next bend
They’ll feel secure and brave
Walking with firmer, lighter step
For the friendship that you gave.

They don’t have to know, you see
That you were bewildered too
And walking with them, side by side
Made a brighter day for you....

Habit Killer Talks
Mood swings I expect you to beat
You can by beating a retreat.
Same psychotherapists treat
And you'll be back on firmer feet...

Next, you've got a food habit
I wish to talk about a bit,
Trusting that you can quite beat it:
These days you eat a lot of wheat
Standing up, "Thanks" to offered seats!
Some keep watching and grows the heat:
The throat sounds are worse than bleat...

As one drops bad habits turns white sheet,
Proud to have performed a big feat....

Life's Oceans
Do you drift in the sea of another
Does your mind sail away from the ship
Do the Heavens above still guide you
When the winds of lifes oceans whip

Are you guided by stars within your eyes
Do the strings of your heart tug and rip
Were the currents strongest when you left port
Allowing your boat to list

The buoy you cling to, lies in the depths
But there's a beam from a lighthouse ahead
Guiding you home, to firmer ground
Upon the boat that was once mislead...

Bound
Spoken like a handshake
firmer than a vow
when I said I love you
it was for longer than right now

But I see that my voice had failed me
no longer did I have words
for you went away yesterday
and i have nothing to look towards

Alone, lonesome, forever a single man
though other women lay beside me
none of them can understand

I lost you to an Autumn wind
you left me for an empty thought
I'll never truly love again
because I'm bound by the love my heart never forgot....
