Around the Bend

Around the bend, up a tiny knoll A lonely one walks, bewildered And uncertain of their goal Can you walk a little faster Offer shaking of their hand? Mitigating hardship, Say you understand? When parting at the next bend They’ll feel secure and brave Walking with firmer, lighter step For the friendship that you gave. They don’t have to know, you see That you were bewildered too And walking with them, side by side Made a brighter day for you.
