Green,
Lustrous,
Gleaming bright,
Shades of beauty,
The dead come alive,
Nature exhales,
Waterfalls,
Sing a
Song.
like life-giving air ~ she breathes in your male essence and exhales virtue

Contest: Monoku 3
Hosted by Silent One
One person inhales, Another exhales
So with some 7 1/2 billion people inhaleing
and exhaleing the earth truly is
a living breathing planet
With a single drop
The exotique parfum
Exhales a fragrance
That propitiates the birth
Of an unexpected love

my words are my soul, ripped into shreds
once written and twice read...
my mind rejuvenates after the sentence slams out
one breath and two exhales...
Form:
when the
bow exhales,
the arrow
shall breath
deeply, by
hurling itself though
this sweet air and
if we
dare to
meet again,
in some
young lovers
heart[
a breeze exhales its aim
time then inhales our frame

Contest Name: IN ITS ESSENCE
It has finally happened
The moment I've long awaited
The moon has shown its last trace
and my chest exhales a final breath
At last end, my spirit can dance.
If I could bind
Your ancient wounds
I would
Bring us to
A new brotherhood
Our last days of hope
Our season lies like smoke
Upon the wind and
God exhales
silver sky exhales
showers forests with ice dust....
naked trees shiver
(4th in Contest Strict Haiku 2 by Charles Henderson)
uniform silence
dawn’s blatant bugle exhales
forcefully revoking sleep
recruits jump to feet
bounce a quarter off their sheets
commander shows no bias
Haunting,
Guitar cries,
Pink orange red,
Angelic voice exhales,
Chilling.
Inspired by the Cocteau Twins song Pink Orange Red. It's one of the songs on my Desert Island playlist.
March Madness
March shakes her icicled head
exhales Winter’s last gasp
chills clouded moisture
sheds her stinging tears,
icy pellets of adieu.

hues of dusk’s dimming light
beseeches our presence
to linger with it awhile
humming a gentle lullaby
that when daylight exhales
we are there to hold its hand
promising resurrection at dawn
At six you reeled in your first trout, smoked your first cigarette.
You haven’t flicked your last one out. Each of us at last exhales
the dream like rainbows in a stream. Fish run that river yet.
Night exhales a humble ember
As a chorus frog whispers to the tulip bulb,
"it's time to come out now.
Earth is weeping emeralds.
it's time to come out now...
To pin a pink brooch to the shadow."
this town cries
thru nights
in sirens, in
flashing lights-
it is the fear
that shakes the
air, not the cold-
sight swivelling
fast, hasty &
unclear. the day
sighs, exhales
hard, blinds the
eyes.
She is an evil blossom
the day lilly of disorder
she exhales a deadly fumigation
Marion breathes in the heady elixir
which wallows in her eyes
those lily stalks
are perhaps intercoursing a nostrum daily
cauldroned lakes of steam
wafting up in fevered plumes
labored breath as life exhales
venomed arctic gales
plunder trees on sun starved days
brittle claws of tumbled leaves

Choka Me - Poetry Contest

My heart pumps
beating of the liquid
Life
as my lungs inhale
exhales
the Breath of Life
blood flowing through my veins
both of those giving me...
Life
7/10/21
Written words by James Edward Lee Sr 2021
Inhales prosaic air
muse probes breeze
Filtering depth
as image melees
Drum snares the heart
beating out dull pain
Osmosing spores
form finely tuned rain
Patters tap source
concept ignites
Erupts into thought
exhales and writes
A touch too close and a gaze too sincere,
Was the Jenga player about to pull an upset loss?
Faulty by design, promise and execution
Does a good love need time to catch its breath?
Or does it weave long exhales into conversational counterparts?
Chardonnay whispers
Sipping a glass neath
an autumn moon smiling
Tasting her lips as
the stars glow above
Chardonnay whispers
‘pon September heavens
Caressing my heart
as she exhales her love
Good night Soupers
Gasping ...
The year drew in
Months, weeks and days, anew -
Filled its lungs with the breaths of life,
Hope, promise and endeavor coursed its veins,
Feeding want, deed and wisdom, now ...
It exhales lost shadows,
Weeps and expires ...
Gasping.
Smokeless inhales hurt.
I cough tar on my shirt.
As my black lungs breathe,
Shrilling exhales wheeze.
Cabrona
Falls me
Down to
My knees.
The nicotine cracks
My will.
My composure
Spills.
I want
This.
I must
Have this.
I sink
Into
The brink
Of madness.
