Definitely a lot of essence in these two lines. They explain someone'release from past pains..And the clock tick tocks another hour and with it freedom.

Dear Maurice, There is magic to be found in the darkness. A tiny candle is more than enough light. Perhaps some clocks are like lamps. I don't know the contest rules, but this is a very cool couplet! Wishing you success, my friend. Love, Carolyn

The Essence, created by Emily Romano is a short, structured form of two-lines, six syllables each with an end rhyme and internal rhyme. This is written for nette onclaud's contest that is based on writing a two line poem with the theme of time.
