Watch the edges of my memories
curl slipping out of focus
The abyss slowly erodes
staring at my ethereal hand
it goes
the beach is public
but the beach house is private
when the sea erodes,
which is saved; you can't save both
saving houses erodes the beach
The owner's ten-story building
Rises up, whooshing, growing vast.
While the worker's humble two-sloped roof
Erodes and wastes in the wind's fierce blast.
Moist salty sea breeze coats all things
Slowly erodes metal
Takes away man's buildings ~the thief
Does no harm to nettle

Fear is an evil demon that
Erodes your sense of security, comfort, and safety
As well as hampers your ability to function
Ruining any chance you have of normalcy
Grey heavenly skies
in reaction to her hurt
clouds so different
In cry, falls, penetration
acid rain erodes her so

slowly and finally
we reach the end of the road
where the light goes out
and the darkness erodes
the memories of our past
and the future
That will not come
dimmer and dimmer
is the eternal sun
Form:
Layered pebbles,
worry stacked against sand
sand stacked against the sea
shifting whimsy
erodes the insignificant
sifting,
grain by grain
digesting raw discord.
There's peace
in the bosom of change.
Life erodes the body; riding its waves, leaves one drained.
Spirit’s education, is wear and tear; the mortal is cut short.
Beware the reaper’s scythe; the scalpel of death, cuts swift and clean.
A mind erodes
Each day more,
Further down roads
Never been before.
A heart explodes
Early one morning,
Before life corrodes,
Left without warning.
There’s no choice
How we go.
Remember to rejoice,
You never know.
Doubt
erodes
confidence
demolishes
Faith!

innocence pawned by youth
and paid by the ages
i knew love as she danced with her eyes closed
but memories dull
at the feet of time
longing to no longer care
as daytime spits forward
and nighttime takes the bows
and life erodes itself
from within
FLOOD
deluge
overflow
banks of mind erodes
emotions surge unbound
inundates yearning meadow
"debris of time present submerged"

A savior to all but myself, a lantern to light the path for others...Who will light my way, when
will the meaning of my words make sense in my mind? The rock that is my soul slowly
erodes battered by lonely waves on a starlit beach. Until there is nothing left but pebbles in
the sand....
Thinking
of you,
of a time
before the blood of grapes,
in tides of red,
erodes
the tombolo*
of us.
Wondering
if the past
in the future,
flowing over
like a disordered rogue wave,
deposits swashmarks
in the sand of me.
*A bar of sand joining an island to the mainland.
Resentment is poison, let it out of your system, soon
Don't bottle ill-will and let it simmer, do forgive and forget
Any slight. Lest it erodes your soul, hold no grudge.

Warm sand runs through his fingers as he builds,
a sand castle filled with elusive dreams.
Waves splash.
Incoming tide erodes the foundation -
the castle falls and crumbles at his feet.
Waves splash.
Time and tide wash his castle out to sea.
Sighing, he takes a breath and starts over.
Waves splash.
Eloquent streaming waters
Aqua Pearl ripples covers
As the wind kisses so mutters
Erodes embankment covers
Meadowlarks and Honeybees
Springs essence so surrounds me
On breezes through the lee's

Cry to the sky while Earth erodes beneath your feet
Doing anything to strengthen against certain defeat
Start from the beginning of something once finished
Never let things brightest to you become diminished
You might not know the cost of what could have been
Blindness may also be that which remains to be seen
You do not see it,
Taste, or touch it,
It is simply there,
Like a blank stare.
A void it consumes,
Nothing else resumes,
It permeates and erodes you,
It commands and owns you.
It heeds no other master,
It serves no other.
My Mist,
Feels Bliss.

The storms of life, they twist and fray
Rain slowly erodes our values away
Caught up in this hectic pace
Can lose ourselves without a trace
Sometimes it seems it's all illusion
Leaving us in great confusion
Wind and rain, blowing sands
The future nestled in our hands
Be wary of the constant strife
Lest we become the storms of life
the wrath of death's hands
like the lash of sea
erodes the edges
of my weary soul
with its unseen force
i am battered
bruised once again
emotions stir
inside my core
rock to sand
gibraltar
crumbling down
i fight
against
time

The hate that uglifies a sweet face
The betrayal that makes trust fade
The enmity that isolates
The sadism that inflicts hate
The envy that breeds futile hostilities
The grudges that darkens memories
The jealousy that erodes satiety
The ill-will rewarded with vanity
The long distances, weights and heights
Don't weigh us down like the burdens of the heart
Gratitude

“Attitude of gratitude” is more than an impression,
Gratitude erodes rough spots that trigger aggression
I praise God’s name when HE aligns my attitude
and view my glass half full due to my gratitude
Things are seldom as bad as they might first appear
Gratitude counts blessings while discounting fear
The wisdom of the wind is motion,
Wandering ecstatic, yet sublime.
The charity of rain is laving lotion,
Cleansing residues of urban grime.
The genius of the sun is searing passion—
Violent, erotic rampant fire.
But cooling clay and earth we wear in fashion
Finally, when our hot hearts expire.
Our flesh erodes. Our bones flake too.
But souls need neither…born, anew.
