Expectancy

A mind erodes Each day more, Further down roads Never been before. A heart explodes Early one morning, Before life corrodes, Left without warning. There’s no choice How we go. Remember to rejoice, You never know.

Hello John, We should enjoy the time we have with our loved ones. (9we never know)) I'm deeply moved by your poem, I lost my mother 2 years ago with no warning. Thank you so much for the last 4 lines on this poem. Linda

Thank you, Eileen. I wrote this thinking about my mother and my aunt (her sister). My mother died in her sleep (heart trouble) and my aunt is now in a nursing home (Alzheimer’s). We never know what will happen so it is important to appreciate each day.
