Encroached By a Roach

Encroached By A Roach

Encroached by a roach
Those insects which we do dread,
Who we wish were dead.

Jim Horn

Roach with piston which will cock,
To me sounds like a bunch of crock.

Distorted

Arabian sea
Encroached the city
With chopped head
And swelled legs.

Clouds fought like black cats
Spirit scented rain raged on.

The world lay
As if in a morgue
Varied dance accrued
Atop it.

Tangled skeins of memories unravel
Implacable reverie in melted rainbows
Encroached upon asphalt canvas, absorbing
New moon's amnesia; her silver shadows confiscate

Drowning Light

I see drowning lights and slowing colours
encroached horizons and shifting soils

I feel voices my heart can't hear
As dreams despair and choices recline

You ask of me to try and cheer
a wallowing strive to crow
and bear

Sword Play

Watch
Riposte
Spin, and then
Pique the heart ink
Diffidence showing the appalling link

Firmament encroached; caliginous stars
Ergo; all mars
With but three
Cuts to
Bone

Ah
Remise
Dip again
Ink thus imbued
Recondite quill forthwith shall be renewed

Ash still gray,
The green hasn't encroached much yet
Upon the blackened hill,
But then 'twas only August last
And now 'tis only Spring.

Then waiting shall the game be called
Until the Summers' Find
Watching for the time to come
And see the hillside mind.

Where were you

Grandma gave rugrat a gift,
Into the toy box I did lift,
It was so plastique,
Not quite fantastique,
Grandma, Grandma, where were you,
When I stepped on Lego at 4:32?
Foul language approached,
On my bare foot it encroached,
Sheer hell, granny, thank you not,
No wonder I am now a sot!

Death Came In

Death came in
like a creeping fog;
it’s presence sinister
yet formidable,
pervading the air
as it encroached upon
her frail body,
which for just a few more
brief moments
would continue to harbor
her soul
before being pulled
into death’s carriage
and taken away into the void
for eternal rest.

War Is On 2

woken up by the yelling and crying
war hungry fearful people dying
foggy cells stinky mouth
gazing through the window broken
 unpainted dirty stained
with the red spits of
my ancestors
dinosaurus
they were still running crying blunted
war is on fear descent encroached
windy and cold i started to
cry too

Undulating Seasons

Autumn moon moods taunt my soul
as satirical jazz rocks locked, untold
gory stories of defeat, retreating soulless
untold joys, imploding screams unblest.

As a season, I reason stages of reproach,
storms of normalcy, winds of encroached
feelings reeling to hot to handle scandal
remissed, unkissed; insistent rare mantels.

Disbelievingly

Fraternising
the needles
on abbreviated lips.
Handful of sand
hauling uphill.

Code of particles
feels the entire lie.
You wear mauve
when I cry.

Like diatoms
in eyes.
Erase the sun
from my hairs.
I am turning black.

The brine
had encroached all around.
The brown grass, the soaked laughter,
but I will come again in disbelief.

a yearning of alabaster guilt given birth
from this mouth of words mesmerising
like rings of Saturn, behold encroached
by your retort, cutting if not comic, life
adjacent to corners of some death, you
lit fires with a tongue and let them burn
reeling in oceans, as salamander heads
lined exotic craters of timely eruptions
yet honey melts heaven in a single kiss

Premium Member Predatory Suspense

Screech of owl with shrieking caterwauling
doesn’t startle me at all
until wings shroud the sky.

My blessed-courage takes cover real fast
as the rodent alongside’s
encroached on by talons.

The thick presence of the owl says don’t look,
turn a blind eye to his kill
as neck turns one slick eye.

He has no taste for human flesh except
if two legs gets in his way -
predatory suspense.

Pieces of hours, fragmented minutes
As raindrops slide down windows
Tangled skeins of memories unravel
Infusing reverie in melted rainbows
Encroached upon asphalt canvas, absorbing
New moon's amnesia; her silver shadows confiscate
Charcoal regret to grayed sepia, as diamond stars
Elicit PATIENCE to receive the morning.

Fulfilment

Eyes glued to the sky
Thumb finger tumbling
Tears cascading from above
Heart filled with grieve and grieve
Encroached of the unknown
Future punctured with uncertainties
Realities gnashed at me
The night settled on my thought
The morning is aging
It is time to go home
Which home?
Where is the fulfillment in these drifts of life?
Must i go home unfulfilled?
O, is this the end of my enterprise in the human cosmos?

A Bland Repository

dreary eyed, musky languor- tassels tight
a loose walk paraded by looser convictions
an acquaintance of that sad, lowly height
that alluded odysseys and several hymns

open window, surely dries out the stink
encroached in the room shadows and fleas
the zeitgeist of this area; to even think
flowers and dewdrops burly trees; to seize
the thought, it lingers, but only so little
too soon, to even land a misty eyed dream.

Watching the Feeder

The bird (a dove?) was pecking ‘round
The seeds that scattered on the ground.
A chipmunk timidly approached;
The bird disliked his turf encroached.

So twice I saw him lift his wings
(I rarely get to see such things)
To scare the chipmunk (just a guess);
The rodent, though, felt no distress.

A cardinal came by to feed
And little birds of unknown breed.
The dove calmed down, the chipmunk stayed
While from my perch, I never strayed.

Premium Member Ghosts In the Rill

The level of the stinky dirty water
Of the creek running near my house
Not falling this year.

In this dry season,
Water not falling from the taps,
the rivers became lean.

Its course somewhere encroached upon
Protests have
not heard, non willing to stop
Earth filled and fenced .

And in the dirty rill
Its water level rather rising
I saw them as ghosts haunting.

More they will haunt when rain comes.
Then the soothing sound of the rain
Will be terrifying to our minds.
