The elderly nana had one last wish.
I would like a bit of faerie floss she said.
I thought she meant embroidery floss.
Someone else thought she meant gauzy material.
An old gentleman arrived carrying cotton candy on a stick.
We used to call this faerie floss, he told us.
She was more than happy with it.
Love is a mystery
Entwined in threads of sorcery
Like a beautiful scenery
Laced in baffling embroidery;
Only a heart of mastery
Can tame the course of its misery
For the lure of its debauchery
Can bind a soul to slavery.

ember eerie embroidery
dripping damped nectar
clustering salient coda
sigh scrunching seduction
callous confetti's contraction
hoisted hips hankering
saucy shriek scoring
sumptuous attention seizing
lanky limbs trace
mystic melody's grace
like lusty race
gaze sparks spewing

Others dabble in clay
Some quilt
Others know ribbon embroidery
Some artists add glitter and sequins
Pearls, feathers, taffeta and other fluff
I like artists who think outside the norm
This artist wears her art
It is wearable art, she tells me
And it is for sure
she is the ultimate artist
I am proud to know her
