Shadow Tail

Tree top dwellers
Electric line leapers
Garage roof tenants
They seem to live solely
To gather nuts
Be chased by eager canines,
And flaunt their furry tails.

Cunning Farmer

reared many rabbits by habit
to harvest cotton wool from them
for textile industries abroad
that they could make winter clothing
for charity to hot desert dwellers

The Greeting Dawn

The dawn crawls in with its gift-
Fragrant aroma,
Added with rhythmic music,
Of dwellers' quota.

Natural alarm,
Awakes the man, hope renewed
To begin with charm.

Premium Member Pigeons

Pompous city dwellers,
pretentious rock doves now
parade around like a
popinjay or fancy
peacock, and yet, they're not
persnickety poopers:
pooping on everything.

Premium Member Int'L Talk Like a Pirate Day

For us coastal dwellers of old B.C.,
Always 'Talk Like A Pirate Day' it be.
Tamperin' with the buoys, we be found,
A-plunderin' vessels what runs aground!

four ballerina beauties took a stroll
searching for a tutu they could all agree on
no one appeared to notice their beauty
not a surprise…

Homeless

Helpless

Soulless

Illness

To be sadly homeless, helpless, dwelt,
No care before soulless, illness felt.

S'Time

Summer sultry sweat
Sends sea-dwellers,
Seeking some solace,
Softly…
Sensually…
Seductively…
Satiating some.
Simply satisfying!
So, succumbing,
Seems so seductively soothing,
Simply stated!

Premium Member Nocturnal

Night, lunar- lit. The eyes luminous, surprise prey. Fearsome hunters of lowly creatures. Nocturnal dwellers in darkness encounter nightmares of savage death.

Dark World

Mammoth monsters drag a weapon along their path,
as lava flows all around them. The weapon is invisible
to the human eye; only in the dark realms of Hades
that the malevolent dwellers can see an evil
that can swallow the Sun.....

Political Veres

Political verses

They came and looked.
Assaulted the dwellers
We preferred blindness

The winner robs all
Apartheid normalized
Slowly we see horror

They murder the holly.
That insists on surviving.
The pure outpace evil.

Premium Member Rocket Ship Boogie

Rocket ship boogie.
Earth dwellers watch
Through unwashed beards.

What are they doing? One asks.
Bees? Another guesses.

No one dances around like this
Without a bee down their shirt,
Right?

It is always fun to watch
Rocket ship boogie.

The Fractured Isle

A desolate isle, where it hurts to smile
buried betwixt mists both eerie and vile.
Forever hidden amongst dwellers of an uncanny guile,
where those who chance stumble here, lost and senile,
art beckoned by a curious fear of no mortal description or profile.

The Pond In Sight

Rural people
 self-reliant
vote red white and blue

City dwellers
vote dependent
 subsidies anew

People with space
are free to think
harbingers of truth

Leading the way
the pond in sight
— where sits the Golden Goose

Fly To Hell

Fly to Hell

Freedom, is in the sky.
Land-dwellers, gazing eyes.

Your envy, proved evil.

Take away my wings
Or sever my feet, but

How dare you cage me?

Ethereal regression.
Life, now grounded.

Lucifer, I’m home, sadly.

Premium Member Santa Has Left the Building

Santa has left the buildings
Don’t you mean building?
No, I mean all of them. His route is finished.
Did he get the caverns? Yes
The apartments? Uh-huh
Did he find the snake-dwellers?
Where are they?
Underground.
He might have missed them.
Should we call him back?
No.

Housing human beings protecting them;

Taken in by family protects friends;

No Water

No water

The land is thirsty in Portugal.
Dams are like wadies
despair and dust
not yet noticed by city dwellers.
Flush their loos with enthusiasm
buy potable water
At the supermarket
More expensive than wine.
Meanwhile, tourists
Love Portugal
Naturally, they didn’t come
For rain.

There Is An Island

There is an island where;
men have no hearts
women have no wombs
dwellers have no arms
citizens have no tongues
the land has no fire
sky has no sun, no stars
rulers have no thrones

but people live in unity
in peace and harmony
they rejoice and enjoy
happiness shines, shines
and never sets

Cars One

Cars One

A coffin for your children
A hearse for your fat missus
A burden on the mother earth
We will not be forgiven

A curse to city dwellers
A blessing for shopping mauls
Noisy,ugly,overvalued
Ridiculously LARGE

More power than 500 horses
Faster than a train
Sophisticated self maintaining
Millstones with a brain.
