Shovel ready verse,
new soil to disturb
Whose well to make deeper
—its draft future heard
(Dreamsleep: February, 2021)
I can see myself ...
There, in the draft of your eyes,
Not ... the reflection.
All the dawns of all the morns
Swing back the seaweed’s draft,
Brings to me the octopus, hid deep
From spear’s cruel laugh.
I would give everything I own
Give up my hat, toupee, and comb
I would give everything I own
Just to scratch your back again.
Beer Moore was the first volunteer
To be a Marine Engineer
When rollcall came
They called his name
And everyone answered, "Here!"
I write the first draft,
and paint the second
But the third draft
—I get to sing
(Villanova Pennsylvania: September, 2016)
generate a premise
hatch an outline
originate a concept
produce a rough draft
introduce uniqueness
or just wing it

Trump has been a really beauty;
Draft dodging has been his duty;
A real pest;
Women molest;
Cake that is a real tooty fruity.

Epigram #89:
HAIKU
The haiku fragment crafts
A factual moment's crisp draft.

Singapore
even soft footsteps
leave an imprint behind
this door, ajar
with a shadow I once knew
caught in its draft
Deep roots in firm ground
Silver moonlight boldly plays
Magic with the stars
Cool the salty air
Draft of a slow, lazy dawn
Waves wet on my hands
Those who do their best
To give us courage and strength,
Those unsung heroes.
Those who help us stand tall
Throughout our toughest times.
(Just a draft)
On the zig zag zenith
we will polarize
the camps between us
who don't realize
the gullible draft
of the patient soul
complacent idols
we will leave unwhole.
A vendor of proven love potions
never gives into emotions
Told: I need a soul mate!
He quips: Twelve ninety—eight!
I also sell draft beer and lotions

Poor, addled Colin Kapernick
Once a coveted NFL draft pick
Made $43 million in pro football, yet finds it all unsavory
Victimized! ~ Accuses team owners of slavery
Breeze
Cool air
Coming through
Draft in window
Wind
Peace
Calmness
Serene, still
Freedom in love

Entrant into nette onclauds “TURN ON THE LANTERNE” contest!
In our nation’s final, fatal stages
Before our country falls
From cowardice within,
Our daughters die for soldier’s wages.
And when the bugle calls
Out taps…it sounds our sin.
Naught but a billowed vagabond
A breeze longing to shriek
Soar on an eagle’s up draft
Plunge, predator-like, to earth
Riffle the grasses as I pursue
The limitations of my fate
yaupon, but not yopon
yet type small holly tree
yields, pure caffeine-rich leaves
yearn American tribes
yes, used centuries old
youngberries stimulate
yahoo, rousing draft drink
Farewell Footles
icy
I see
good-bye
don’t cry
door slam
love scam
hot sex
cruel hex
heart throb
con job
last act
bank draft

Tears of the Heavens enveloping the lands;
Rain is God's gift like the air and the wind.
Precious life's blood in the dry desert sands;
A mystery unleased like the yang and the yin.
to stop me? it is
already that--silence
after the big-draft
nearly One
nearly Trip
to the fundus of scream
to the red of storm
and this flux of hope
an ecstasy
to my life
scary silences
most unnatural
spooky sounds
clouds that weigh
eerie music
a cold draft
all déja vu
in the twilight zone

A mind flowing through creativity,
Opening senses to conductivity,
Pour every internal notion,
Every churned emotion,
To the craft,
Til final draft,
It is incomplete,
Until art is obsolete.
