Why Can'T
Why can't what I say
Ever be enough
Why do others always
Try to downplay my
Position
If I give the OK
Why can't that
Be enough
Why do others
Insists upon
Undermining me...

Premium Member For Your Sake
Listen to poem:
For your sake I will warm up
the weaselly words
to downplay the fiery spirit
of cold straight and raw poesy juice.
I will serve it blood hot,
warmed up,
hand-cupped with love,
in wily, lily white bowls....

To open my way;
A list of accomplishments
I’m determined not to downplay;
You can’t erase the path I forged;
Not a thing you could say
would cover my tracks;
The way I walk my hips sway,
always make an entrance;
My appetite unlocked the gateway....

Revealing Dream
When i sleep,
  I transform...
I'm a guitar virtuoso,
I downplay verses
coming from the ethereal...
  I  speak   languages
  never  learned before...
I'm a hero and a sage,
lover and angel...
Save worlds and lives...!
I imagine, I am back to being
what one day I
had been...!...

Slay Poor Men's Dreams
Slay poor men’s dreams lest hopeful themes gain sway -
     make up self-serving laws to flaw their take.
Fray each mashed man’s reach with sharp wished decay -
     break all freewill just for overkill’s sake.
Downplay pained lives with Champaign or Broadway -
     slake sick wits as befits life as a snake.

Why do the greedy need the humble’s sigh
high on the list of those to power fry?

Nothing To Speak Of
Thundering downstairs, my sister charged me with theft;
wondering, Dad questioned the source of her inquiry.
Blundering like a buffoon, at last I confessed,
plundering her coffers, I had filched her diary.

Deft hands suddenly snatched the book in question.
Bereft of my fun, I pulled a downplay,
“Theft is taking and KEEPing something not yours.”
Left with nothing to speak of, I just stole away.
