the flock of doves rest
on the grass with fallen seed
all rise in a woosh

The crescent moon is humming soft
like cooing turtle doves
how I wish that I could climb the loft
and be with you my love
Doves fly in the sky when the clouds are clear and the atmosphere is near the sun.
Like stars sparkle and makes colors of red green blue and yellow.
To the ladies,
my youth
To the children,
my love
But to forever,
my words
Hawks that fly
—with the doves
(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2017)
feather light, sky bright
kite high in the firmament
the white doves of stars;
mystically, mistily
whispering our yesterdays

silly mourning doves
flit from roof to tree to roof -
hopping and dancing
matching move for move

What worth are you?
You deny all knightly sports.
You do not defend our walls.
I heal with no gold.
I free doves from steel cages.
I wait for heaven’s kingdom.
So soothing the musical cooing of the doves
In the afternoon from the trees above
The cooing heals the stress of the day
Thank you Lord for sending them our way
Lone dove sits on twigs;
Has no carpentry talent.
Dove nest blows away.
Doves untalented,
Birth their young with lots of luck;
God smiles upon them.
Three white doves sitting on a line
One said to the other "Hey, that one's mine"
The other said to another "But I'm with you"
So, they all cooed together...
And away they flew
Huddled beneath the cherry trees, two doves
suppress exhalation yawn, both in love.
Darken encumbered clouds nudge falling rain;
they coo and listen together remain.

sing your song, morning doves
it lilts so sweetly on my ears
I know you are not singing to me
but in the stillness of this cool morning
before my day really begins
sing your song
i need someone who’ll show me how it’s done:
how you take a heart and stay in love.
i need someone who won’t reap my soul and run;
a shakespeare who rather have a raven than a dove.
White doves
are poems flying
under the sun...
Everything in peace is white...
white flag of peace,
poetry and love...
Imagine like this,
equal world,
borderless
in full harmony...
white dove high atop
brown grass and an orange string~~
young cackling chicks wait

Ah Peace,
You disheveled outcast
Hiding in the heart
Of wingless doves
Shivering in cage-less
Confinement
Clinging to a charred
Sunrise
Smoldering
In the madness
Of god-less
Gods
I'm surrounded by doves.
They fly to my terrace.
I go to my window.
My arms out in Paris.
And oh; how I've passion
for these birds of great fame
as they **** on my patio-
Filthy Pigeons by name.
The
White
Flying
Doves in the
Elegant red sun
Reflecting off the sea below
Inspired by Brian’s
Fibonacci sequence contest
this morn
outside my window
two mourning doves
just sitting
looking in
cooing
ever so still
announcing spring
cooing
looking at me
as I at them

mystique of Winter-white wings - soiree of doves
long string of pearls dangling over décolletage
ample hat covers her eyes with doveyness
intricate lace, feathers, flower, flowing, sensual, sensational
Doves fly birds die like the ocean breeze grows like the water gets bright and the sun gets light brightly over the sky and the moon gets dim that a rainbow lingers
that shouts off colors and the atmosphere is there until next time
You looked before you stepped
I just touched the floor
Their feathers felt your ears
But did the mind explore?
I stood in for gravity
When your feelings were exposed
Fragments torn from fragments
I am amazed you flew so far.
Form:
doves
grey doves coo with dawn
songs serenade the sunrise ~
wings clap canticles
Not only do doves coo, they sing "songs." Sometimes they clap their wings in flight.

wrestle the night away
until doves coo for sunshine
thank
you
insomnia
breaths left
this noise in my head
the imperfect man that I am
thought we had a deal
ask nothing owe nothing
you give this gift
anyway
and
it humbles me
