Untalented

Lone dove sits on twigs; Has no carpentry talent. Dove nest blows away. Doves untalented, Birth their young with lots of luck; God smiles upon them.

Whoa!! I need to look up doves and see about them. We had a pair of ring-neck doves here and they built their nest in the trees then there were two pair and then there were three pair but now I don't see them anymore. I don't know what happened to them. I enjoyed them so much for they were so different from the common ground dove. Thanks for stopping by my page. Sara

Yes, they are life mates but, it's the male that sits on the eggs until they hatch, while the female hunts for food to bring back. The female also builds the nest. Many thanks for stopping by to read and leave comments.

Yes, doves do mate for life but will choose another mate after they have grieved if a mate dies. Sara

Nicely done, M.L., great imagery. I thought doves stay in pairs as mated for life. As it shines as the image of a dove. Hugs Eve

Hello MLK, A very interesting Haiku. Though untalented, the Doves have God in their corner. Enjoyed this one!! Very Well-Done!! Best Wishes, Gary

Yes, I'd hate to see what doves lives are without God in their corner; they're beautiful beings, gentle and raise their young well but, nests...not their best talent. Glad you stopped by to read and comment.
