this morn
outside my window
two mourning doves
just sitting
looking in
cooing
ever so still
announcing spring
cooing
looking at me
as I at them

Nice effect: Man looks at dove. Dove looks at man. East meets West; Spy vs. Spy. (Remember Don Martin's work at 'Mad Magazine?!')...At any rate, here's a yuk for you: When I read the title, I though "Dove" was a verb! Ha, ha, Pretty funny. :) gw

Thanks for your visit, Sunshine. The poem is deliberately extra subtle with emotion so the reader hopefully takes it that step further. And here you are wanting to feed the dove. You are so sweet.

How lovely Line; I could just imagine the whole dove cooing scenario! I just usually have my cat peek a booing looking in lol! (Guess he's a peeking Tomcat lol)~Che :)
