I cannot look you in the voice
Neither be thee my scent of choice
Cannot avoid thee in my sleep
Like a Rolls followed by a Jeep
Follow me... walk this way.
One and a two and a three.
Off to see the wizard !

pressure to conform
prissy Dorothy liked dresses
impractical though
burned rear on park bench
showed pink panties in the wind
she favors slacks now
There once was a woman named Dorothy
Dorothy liked to pee in her porridge
Said it added flavor
Thats just what I gave her
Wonder what she puts on her ice cream
Dorothy (nee Rothchild )Parker once for poetically famed
for penning quatrains much acclaimed
With humour she did animate
& formally elegant poetry thereby create
Dorothy Parker quote
"If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it
to."
**I thought this was hillarious, she was a great american writer!
Form:
Dorothy followed the yellow brick road
Trying to get to the wizard's abode
But the wizard had no clue
For no magic he could do
She wished she could turn him into a toad!
There once was Glenda with slippers to share.
Dorothy liked better Prada devil’s pair.
She ducked behind Oz’s curtain
To do what is uncertain,
But the Lion put a crib in his lair.
Dorothy’s eyes fell onto her plate.
Said one to the other, we’re gonna be late.
They rolled off the table and onto the street.
Dorothy never saw them again
She had to feel for her meat.

Toto uncurtained Oz's stagey play,
his humbug wizardry didn't go astray.
In a balloon he vanished,
lone Dorothy felt banished,
on silver shoes she flew home all the way.
Do hope the other four are keeping in time Dorothy
Yes Sybil they are all looking exceptionally elegant
When are you going to tell them we have passed the audition.

A guy wore a dress for all to see
On TV, he was called Dorothy
To his pals he was Mike
Girdles he disliked
On set, he would sit down to pee.
(special thanks to my buddy Andy, for his cool ideas!)
Dorothy's friends comprised a quite motley lot
Wanted Wizard to fix things that were shot.
Thought Wizard surely must know
best fixes for poor ego
Instead he said "These guys the best you've got?"
Gate to adventures
Portal to foreign lands,
That mystical caress
The calm of sunset
And the flame of brilliance,
Stare not for too long,
Unless you give into a trans,
And live your life
Chasing unpromised beauty.

Dorothy and her dog Toto collide
Up they go on a magic carpet ride
From Kansas home, they whirled
To a make-believe world
They were in Oz to find the other side
Once upon a time,
There was
A little girl
Named Dorothy
From Kansas
Knowing a place
Called Oz
Wearing her
Bright ruby red slippers
Clicking ,clanging, clashing and chanting,
‘Follow the yellow-brick road’
Her diminished and shading features
As if shrouded within a cocoon or now masked
Graduations of colour that death was successively imposing on her motionless features
Dimming her bouquet of red flowers that seem to float away from her
A lion, a tin man, and a scarecrow.
Followed Dorothy, beyond the rainbow.
Singing and dancing, they strode,
Along the yellow brick road.
Where an old witch, plunged them knee deep in snow.

Despite the happy ending
Miss Gulch won't fade away
like a rumble of thunder.
She'll clutch the sheriffs order,
Pester Em and Henry
until Toto lies as still as sky
after a cyclone,
and Dorothy realizes
Glinda was a very wicked witch.
