Premium Member Nanny's Lullaby
Hush now child
Your Nanny is near.
To hold you close
In the rocking chair.
Close your eyes
and dream sweet things.
Like Dora, Thomas and butterfly wings.

One Pair
Our two dogs are named Dora and Hallie

They have become very much part of our family

Many times they sleep side by side on our ottoman

Best of friends, asleep together they look as if one...

Dora Darling drives from Texas to L.A.
In her brand-new shocking pink corvette
Eighteen and in trouble, with a will and a way
In relief, the procedure is set

Brenda Johnson's good 'ol Uncle Joe
Violently forces his body upon her
fourteen and pregnant, broke, broken, and sad
Half mad with grief and nowhere to go

Dora Gouws, Into God's Hands
I
Dora was 82 this year
My onetime neighbor
Three years back
I was new again
From USA, I backtracked
She inspired me about Africa again

II
Jesus, she loved Thee well
We pray, shalom, live to tell
If an ordinary, great South African
Bye Tanie Dora, godspeed
You wanted to care for your needs
But Thatcher Home was there
For a while, you shared your flair
In faith and community spirit...

Dora David
I thought I was dying
But my mind was lying
So I must stop worrying
And I must stop crying

I must start jumping with glory
Because tomorrow they will all be sorry
They will all be packed in a lorry
And it will end like a fairy tale story

They will all be far than the forestry
And happily I will celebrate the victory
Very soon everything will be history
And this just a haunted piece of poetry...

Picasso Exhibition
we r at the picasso exhibition
i love him studied him
the naked art now
here
going through periods
blue pink delving into
cubical geometry
of figures violins
my heart is leaping with
joy
gigantic voluptuous
art on marie teres
crying sharp vagina of
dora
they were cracking jokes
we were beginning to finish
my heart is full and i was weeping
they asked me
who is picasso
your father?
i cried harder...

The Sleepies
She yawns between blowing kisses
Dora catches
Her now clear blue eyes
She rubbed the sleepies out

She yells "Swiper, no swiping."
And is glad to help prevent a close call
"Tweet, tweet"
She listens for the sound of the baby bird

She sits in miniature next to a woman of a certain age
Care takers come in all shapes and sizes
Naptime is just another episode or two away
She allows the sleepies to cloud her eyes...

My Father's Footsteps
I can see you up ahead of me
I am following
in your footsteps

no matter how fast I walk
I cannot catch up

your footsteps are bigger than mine
but they were warm
and safe to step in

you turn around
and smile encouragingly
then return to your journey

thank you for your footsteps
when I can no longer see you
they will always be here
pointing me in the right direction
