'you Got Me On My Knees'
Slide shrieks in anguish
Nearing dog-whistle domain
Then he makes it cry...
('Layla' - Derick and the Dominos - Written and sung by Eric Clapton - featuring the late
Duane Allman on slide guitar)...

Resurrected
a roughened garden
devil's claw over blossom
stones like dominos
estate sale today
fingering through memories
grief cold uncaring
sold to the future
children bouncing on the grass
laughter resurrected

Dominos
"Give it back!" He shouted.
Hands tied by retirement , out of shape like Halloween pumpkins.
Death on his mind , trigger on the head....
Bamn! He falls , blood spills , neighbors knock at the door ...no reply another falls victim to gravity!
Damn!...

Dramatic Verse
Requiem of the Rising Sun: April 1
A child’s tears
The hope of a nation leaks out her eyes
A deadly dance of disaster
Spinning faster, the number grow
Each one a story
Wrapped up in a statistic
Each one a life
Connected to countless others
We are all dominos and
We’re all falling down now...

Electric Dominos
Wondrous feeling
Golden garden
Red Alert
Caution
Happiness strolling
Stools
50 notes at once on piano
Trumpet at 5 keys
Space journey – first one into space
Alert once again
Happy alert
Life sounds
Life music
No opera
Life’s questions
Outcome
Life’s questions again
Global
Happy finale...

Dominos Pizza
I really shouldn't order pizza
in a way I didn't though
because I ended up ordering Dominos
My taste buds made me do it
and a coupon at half price
I hadn't had pizza in so long
it was a treat nice
My scale and blood sugars
will tattle on me though
But that is a worry for tomorrow
today I feast on Dominos...

Envy Pays Off
I saw a CEO in her workout suit
riding on a Peloton when there was a toot
'Dominos Delivery,' rang the voice, 'Your pizza is still hot'
CEO opened the window just enough, saying 'Thanks a lot'
Standing by her side, her loyal dog, his head so curiously cocked ~
surely thinking, 'When I'm top dog, that's how I will rock'...

Coo, Coo Ca-Choo
my world took flight with appetite
those bastions precisely planned
slowly collapsed and caved
on shifting drifting sand
you were the screen in my submarine
the rubber crutch on which I lean
holes in my boat letting water out
and the sour in cabbage kraut
dominos fall
when the clock strikes two
a shrew flew over my cuckoo
and the shrew that flew is you...

Fireworks
I see the lights
The colorful explosions
The sparks flying
Like angry dragons
All are organized
Like prepared dominos
All when you light the spark
They fall into rainbows
The cracking
The crashing
The colors
And Flashing
How wonderful it is
In an explosive fashion
And when the world celebrates at night
Firworks will be there to provide the light

Chef Boy Ar Dee Pizza
What kind of pizza do you want?
I don’t want Dominos or Jacks or Pizza Hut.
My favorite pizza is vintage Chef-boy-Ar-dee
We used to fry up hamburger and make this greasy delight
It was so smeary red greasy, it fell apart in our hand
We had to use a fork, and the crust was delightful.
Making it from a box, seemed like making it from scratch.
I loved it so much, I dream of it sometimes....

A Quilt For Mother Earth
Walking stick stroking limestone paths
sunshine warming these patina hands-
A fleeting chorus of gold winged finch,
God sashaying over cherry wood violins-
Turtles playing dominos on mossy stones
amidst cattails and croaking saxophones-
Cardinal splashing in blue spruce pines
emerald hoppers popping out a nursery rhyme-
Maple leaves flaunting sweetened faces
blue jean angels sowing quilts for earth's day-
2/16/19...

NEWS FLASH!
Earlier today, the DAIRY QUEEN reported that Ronald MCDONALD shot BURGER KING,
with POPEYE'S gun, over some CHICK-"FIL-A." Ronald's alibi fell like DOMINOS, after
the cops heard WENDY'S eye witness account of what happened. His PAPA JOHN
had a nervous breakdown, so he grabbed his PIZZA HUT and went off into the
woods. The funeral and reception will be held at two different CHURCH'S, where
they will ring the TACO BELL in honor of his memory....

Be Careful Who You Let Enter
Growing up and now
As adults, we always
Had each other's back
We threw parties, had cookouts
Play cards and even dominos
We were a happy family until
Until an outsider came along
With a family friend
His present made chill
Bumps rise upon your body
After a few weeks
Things turned sour within
The family, because of his
Two faced and twisted lies
Began to crumble and have
Never been close again so,
Be careful who you let enter
Into your family's circle
They'll destroy it...
