I Hate These Horrible Hate Poems
I hate these horrible hate poems
the plate of life which I be knowing
with haste let go so I start going
a taste untasty displacing gurgling
frustrate at mates I be showing
fluctuating unflexed and flowing
I hate these horrible hate poems...

Premium Member Water's Bind
Stepping in water, displacing the pool.
Walking prudently in body and mind.
For there is no room for a squatter,
forcing spillage over water’s bind

Secure a space for your form,
sitting gingerly at witness.
One cannot see past the water's norm.
Hence be one within it....

Careful
We will never know how our thoughts
And our movements displacing air,
And our feet treading the ground,
Impact on the distant world
And found cataclysms on unseen shores.
So be careful what you think,
And be careful how you move,
But most of all be careful how you tread,
Upon what and whom......

Vii
I am filling with a liquid loss,
this flesh isn’t solid anymore,
I may be slowly sinking
in a puddle on the floor.

The emptiness is gurgling
from toe to chest to head,
displacing all the substance,
dissolving the words you said.

This is a wonder solvent-
it can obliterate any trace,
love, laughter, friendship,
this agent for removing grace....

The pounding of drums as your name lingers on my lips displacing rainbow sweet hues. Amazing touches swirl round my fingers yearning the music I choose not to lose. 3/2/2020 From the poem "A Love That Binds " posted 1-27-2018 Poetry Contest: Rithimus Divisa 2 Sponsored by: Gregory R Barden

Clonazepan
here in this city
at dawn the dogs rule
they run wild through the empty avenues
chase app taxis
public service ambulances
loaded with victims
of panic syndrome
yesterday the rain caused flooding
and at night the sewer overflowed
displacing its residents
rats, men and cockroaches
when in the morning the sun came up fantastic
he looked proud to show the dried mud
garbage and debris
taking its rightful place...

Premium Member A Displacing Faith
Stalwart, salient, silent,
broader arms release / embrace
our metered miles.
Measured with the tenuous touch
of when to now.
So paused, we then invent, somehow
this time of shimmering moments.
As the darkness of dusk is lapped
by the edge of the day,
heads all bowed, the new nuns pray,
faces bathed in the blue-white
spiritual light of i-phones;
angels walking this new earth
with faces wearing the crowns
of haloes that have slipped down....

Comet
Cosmic mystery trails the midnight sky,
you flare bright, dissolve without a trace;
we who witness you gaze up and sigh,
you leave a look of awe on every face.

Ghostly portent from the mists of time,
aglow with starkly silent icy light;
wonder that dances 'round reason and rhyme,
the stuff of dreams and fancy's fickle flight.

Dawn settles gently on the window sill,
displacing thoughts of stellar eccentricity;
but in our hearts and minds we ponder still
this sacred, quiet electricity....
