Summons the Breeze
Intrepid pines dance
Wheeling their scent across the orchard
Discretely nurturing hope...

Lottery Loser
I enter the lottery discretely
For a dollar I do it quite cheaply
I’ve never won a cent
But this doesn’t prevent
Me from giving them my money weekly...

Sight See
Had she and I whet our appetites
discretely we'd not need to leave lights
on while we two commit
what, I have to admit,
is one of the biggest tourist sights....

Helpless Hands
Playing with breezes
you do not understand
Time will discretely arise you
Quietly laughing to yourself
you with your knowing
extending helpless hands
as the shore ascends
you are the drowning man now
Quicksands your sully...

Words

appear discretely
but seem to grasp us
by the throat
insisting they are
most fleeting
and simply point
to the thing
to which they
point..
What is that thing..?
it seems as
something between
something dancing
and shouting:
don't pin me down...!...

A Lover's Dance
A rhythmic waltz is a lover's dance.
   Matching steps, eyes in askance.
The answer, discretely given
for a heart's desire is driven.
Love cannot be repressed
   It will always acquiesce.

Premium Member Paying It Forward
Sitting at a table
by himself
glancing at the menu
feeling lonely
reminiscing about
his wife and
how she passed
he lingered a while

On his way out
discretely he left enough
to cover the meal
for the scruffy young couple
with the two kids
celebrating Mother’s Day

UNKNOWN STILLNESS 1

To go in an instance
To a deep void
Even an empty unknown
Yet discern a certain knowing
Being in-sync with No-thing
And yet knowing a freshness
Crystal clear and light
Where creative inspiration
Sustains odd reason and logic
And discretely unwinds

Paying It Forward Miracle Man 1/6/2022 When someone helps me, I’ve learned to pay it forward. It has usually happened when I didn’t need serving. Doing it discretely, never straightforward. I select my target, from those I’m observing. “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.” Muhammed Ali

Distraction
creation
jolts of sensation
penetration
sudden elation
distraction
reaction
complication(s arise
surprised, don't
realise, such
size, the prize of
cheap game)s
shame, renamed
over&over again.
complain too much
refrain, this touch
break the wooden
crutch(es clench
me tightly, beat me
completely) discretely,
fornicate the bait,
common trait-

Absolute Hunch
Am the string.
Oscillating discretely,
The sways of pattern,
Calling for elation,
To come happen...

Am now a probability.
Never discrete, yet,
A contradictory distinction,
True absolutism,
And not a fiction...

Am a void...conclusively.
For within me persists everything,
And for i resemble nothing,
For i am all material,
Yet am not a thing...

None.
Am just...I.

If
If you could look in my eyes,
look into my soul.
Would you see my heart?
Would you see the hole?

If you could know me,
really know me.
Would you still be here
or would you turn away and flee in fear?

If you could love me,
love me completely.
That would make me happy.
Maybe I wouldn't slip away discretely.

If you read this poem,
really read this poem.
Do you change the way you are
or do I?...

Drowning Not
Human
       without
    cause.
Is that human?

          I watch;
       discretely;
              he doesn't know, and won't.

          Faith
        hold
      true.
Is this worth it?

       Occultist dreams,
       killing sounds,
                  violent taste buds,
          silent fears.

A catalogue of pain:
  Unfelt!
  Unknown!
  Unrelated--

a smile, hollower than his eyes....

Let My Mind Traverse
Let my mind traverse
round the universe
to find this life's essence
Let it cross the stunning falls
whose attitude never falls,
that abrades the mountain walls.
Let it discretely stand,
on the desert's sand
and inhale its strength grand
Let it flow along with river
the all time giver,
that jubilantly delivers.
Let it mingle with the sea,
the eternal splendor to see
let it glide along and get freed......

My Blue Cheese Is Melting
Reluctant as I was to choose
the blue cheese crumbles looked invitingly blue,
a little moldy, I guess perhaps
as the crumblies fell from plate to lap.
I scooped them up unseen
and put them discretely on my salad beans.
Then as I picked up my fork
 there appeared the strangest quirk
as the blue had blended into the white
 much to my delight
and with each savory taste
I enjoyed the cheese I used to hate....

Premium Member What Fire Ignites the Day
What Fire Ignites the Day?
Whether to stay atop of things,
Or get to the bottom?
Each day offers circus rings,
The center one is Autumn:
Top fame but premature ending.
Side rings more discretely hum,
Contrasting the center ring crowd’s singing.
Side rings hold inner desires dumb,
Often hidden is pregnant Spring,
Steer to your inner line of rhumb,
Desire is the bottom kindling,
That builds the day’s fire-bon....

First Impression
Have you looked at someone?
Has someone looked at you?
Hook, line and sinker?

Turned around
Looked at her
Discretely

Turned around
Looked at each other
Simultaneously

Looked at each other
Not just once
Eye to eye

I wondered what to say
I wondered what I wanted to say
I knew what I wanted

I will let the story rest
Use your imagination
While I ponder

Ponder on what title
What title will lure you in
Hook, line and sinker!...

Pockets
In my jacket pocket
I once found a banknote
Completely forgotten

In my trouser pocket
I once found a banknote
Washed to extinction

I said I didn’t need it
The banknote discretely placed
In my packpocket

Walking down main street
I once found a banknote
Blowing softly in the wind

I remember my first payday
Banknotes and coins in a paper bag
Placed into my jacket pocket

Today I found a face mask
Same colour as a serious banknote
In my jacket pocket...
