Love Unravels

Love unravels the clock of time
despises the cowards of love,
but favors the audacious...
for love only wins whoever gives it,
his vital force is uniting duality
to one voice, one heart

sixteen horrible math problems

I cement my seriousness with warm resolve
I have sixteen horrible math problems tonight to solve
If anyone despises mathematics, it is certainly I.
Every math problem except a word problem makes me cry.

Birdman Assesses His Position

bird man waits his opportunity

Those Quiet Damned

From Lederhosen
  a monster chosen

Whose Reich is damned
 —gas slaughtered lambs

The eagle rises
  truth despises

A country shamed
 —those quiet blamed

Art Is Subjective

I love this painting; it reminds me of my grandmother’s apron.
I see her kitchen and smell fresh chocolate chip cookies.
Another despises it;
It reminds her of being raped when she was four.
The wallpaper on her Uncle’s walls.
She smells him.
Art is subjective.

It Is My Habit

It is my habit I cannot hate
I love whom the world despises
what is so precious, my heart abhors
the common swimming pool
is not attractive to me in anyway
my nakedness it cannot taste
if a thousand is wrong and erring
glad that I stand alone for truth
that never withers

The Rotten Luck

Mountains I tread break to rubbles;
Arts I sculpture wane to scribbles;
The defiant paladin has effaced from presence
And a gruesome ghost is left behind;
God despises my very existence
Burning this life he once lent;
He blunt my sword and burnt my shield
But my feral heart will never yield.

lover love :: ruler rules
                    ::
like a brook :: despises a good word
seeps into the dry land :: of the poor
a shade in the sun :: praises violence

Bullies are created from homes with larger bullies
Understanding them will not stop them
Logic will not change their upbringing
Loving them is difficult, you may be rebuffed.
It is sad they grew up thinking this is the way of the world.
Exceptions are out there, but many bullies retain their status
Society despises them and so do their neighbors

Storms of Hate

When hearts are enraged
 by storms they cannot control
 Violent actions may lead
 to murder most foul

 A heart filled with hate
 will not hesitate
 to kill those it despises
 Life it will annihilate

 Jealousy, that green eyed monster
 Can turn brother against brother
As in the biblical story of Cain
Whose envy left his brother slain

The Death of Immortality

You wake
You wait for life to slowly kick in
And then you sigh.
Time is your master
And you its slave.
Only the old and the weak despises its tick
As it mercilessly gnaws away at the flesh
Until the sound is so deafening that death is your only release.
Embrace your mortality.
Rejoice in the knowledge that now is all you will ever truly possess
And let the rest blow away on the wind.

Not This Day

I put my heart out,
Little by little
Until I stumbled
On the boundary
And injured my
Enthusiasm.

Such vanity
Must be crushed
Romantic folly
Despises the
Ancient myths
The untruths.

The blur of delusion
Lays low in a
Field of traps,
Where I often walk
Alone, exploring
Phantom thoughts.

But not for long
These troubles
Get pushed away
Lessons learned
Disappointment
Not this day.

Tender and Small

Tender and small, meek and mild
All these virtues worth the child
Never worthy to be wild
Ever friendly; that's the child

If truly, surely
As we know
Truly, surely,
It is so
That blessed are they that have them,
Then accurst are they that despises them.

Worthy are they of much care
Provide them, or having them you should not dare
Render your best and expect their best
Render the best, and expect the best.

Our Best Option

Tomatoes with salt
It is how he was raised
Tomatoes with sugar
It is how I was raised

Mushrooms and oysters yum yum he says
Mushrooms and oysters. Barf barf say I.
Thick crust pizza for him, thin crust for me.
It is a wonder our children can eat at all.

One loves The Red Lobster. Her sister will not eat fish.
Two love Chinese food, the other one despises it.
None of them like tomatoes at all.
Eating out is our best option.

I Am

I am misery, who despises company.
I am the truth, who portrays lies.
I am the pain, that never subsides,
I am death that never dies.

I am disgusting, in the most beautiful sense.
I am stunning through despicable eyes.
I am elegant, in the most wicked way.
I am righteous, through evil ties.

I am pretty, through eyes of the blind.
I am special, through psychotic minds.
I am loved, in the hearts of the unkind.
I am the never of nothing defined.

I Am Not a Counselor He Said

Today was full of paperwork; not my favorite thing.
Not my least favorite thing either – that is cleaning.
No one despises paperwork and cleaning like I do.
This paperwork was long overdue, I am the counselor.

I know there are federal guidelines that have not been met.
I spoke to the v.p. and said, “you surely did that paperwork.”
He looked at me like I had grown six noses.
“I am not a counselor,” he said.

So I guess he despises paperwork too.

where are the cat prints

polka dot curtains in the form of dotted swiss
light and airy, fuzzy and bumpy, minute and white
polka dotted pillows in reds, blues and oranges
unusual in grandma’s house; everything here usually has a dog on it

She has a dog-print couch, dog-paw-print carpeting,
dog apron, dog dishtowel, dog toilet paper holder.
Maybe this is her idea of branching out?
Where are the cat prints? I ask grandma.

This annoys her.
She despises cats.
One bit her in 1943.

Art Is Subjective

What is art?
Almost no two people agree
We all have our own ideas
I love what she despises
She has mean things to say
I only have delightful things in my head
Because I love it, it has called to my soul.
He comes along and pokes fun at a piece of art that she loves
She loses her temper, now loving it more than she did before.
Their personalities come out in full force as they argue about it.
It is hilarious to listen to, and more fun to watch
Art is subjective
None of us agree
