Not This Day

I put my heart out,
Little by little
Until I stumbled
On the boundary
And injured my
Enthusiasm.

Such vanity
Must be crushed
Romantic folly
Despises the
Ancient myths
The untruths.

The blur of delusion
Lays low in a
Field of traps,
Where I often walk
Alone, exploring
Phantom thoughts.

But not for long
These troubles
Get pushed away
Lessons learned
Disappointment
Not this day.
