sage thoughts
deep within
stirring up dendrites
many personalities
so why does my mind keep facets from myself?
how can there be parts of me I do not recognize?...

Unique, only mine
Perception perceived
Acknowledged as truth

They cannot stay

Dangerously and dramatic, delightful diamond-clad damsels from Delaware
deviously dazzled dashing dapper dweebs from Des Moines.
Deliberate dallying drained the dullards of their discerning dendrites.
Deeming them deliriously and dubiously devoted....

Premium Member Lion Gentleman Is a Bit Off
The new lion gentleman at court is a bit off
This is discussed by those whose dendrites think.
Not sure how the jester says with a cough
I catch his eye and give him an agreeing wink.
We know better than to make fun or scoff
For he could eat me faster than I can blink....

Premium Member Be You Is My Mantra
Be you is my mantra
It is in my paintings and my poems
It parades out of my pores and my dendrites
It is scribbled on the walls and ceiling of my house
Be you
Be you
Be you
Be you
Be you
Be you is important to me.
It is vital.
It says I am enough.
This mantra will last decades after me and my stuff....

Shh! Grandma cautioned her parents. She is in dream child mode.
The paisleys and oranges and polka dots are gearing up her dendrites.
Driving her REM to the world of magic, you need to let her be.
She’s an astral traveler, her Daddy said to Grandma. Nothing will wake her up.
Her dendrites were a rocket ship, blasting toward mystical imagination....

Daring Detectives delight me
Dreaming dastardly dilemmas
Deliberating discerning dialogues
Discovering delectable dramas
Diligently dissecting diaries
Dutifully documenting details
Discreetly digging
Dutifully dialoguing
Dividing distressed details
During division of documents
Dendrites dancing delightfully
As I decipher dynamics of dramas
Depicted by distinguished detectives...

Premium Member My Mindless Dream Dance
Charisma wafts into my dreams
Teasing my wise brain dendrites
Showing them connections
to my pathway toward empathy.

Enthusiasm is squarely winning
Taking charge of my artistic muse
who is persuasive with other
areas of my mindful schemata

Childlike joy shows rapt interest
in the affection charisma is instilling
as I sleep, listening to the lively,
loving melody of the cosmos...

Premium Member The Murderous Wingspan of Crow
I run and hide from my shadow,
The murderous wingspan of crow -
Of flight, not fight.

My curdled dendrites long since spent.
Like the greening hulk, my skin rent.
So dim - the light.

I’ve shallow breaths and molten fear’d.
My former life, like a steak seared -
With poor eyesight.

I fold my hands and bend my knees
And hope for insight - what He sees.
Spur me upright!

Premium Member daisy strawberry cake
I am going to put these daisies right into the icing she said
I thought she had injured her dendrites inside her sweet head
Also pushing in these half strawberries, this cake will be a delight.
It was beautiful of course, but none of us could take a bite.
Until we had scraped off the frosting and took out the leaves and stems.
And tossed away the daisies. The strawberries? Some of us ate them....

Premium Member I Am Starting All Over Again
Destiny grabbed my mind and shook it
All of my connectors and dendrites fell out
I grabbed them up and tried to replace them
But there was a certain pattern, and I did not know it.

It feels like I am starting all over again, which in a way
Opens me up to new possibilities and challenges
Mystifying many things I never fully understood before.
If this keeps up I might become a whole new person...

Premium Member Greens of the Forest
The greens of the forest open my mind
tantalizing me with their well-kept secrets
wowing me with their varieties and textures
refreshing me with a shiny coolness not found
in concrete landscapes or graffiti-decorated
boxcar yards. Bringing with her loveliness
side dishes of baby blue soft sky and dainty
pure scented violets that arouse my dendrites
and entice my imagination like nothing else does....

Premium Member The Queen of Self Sabotage
Pleasure and pain
Closely related
Weirdly uncoordinated

I run toward pain
thinking it is pleasure
Until Bam
It slays me
Chops off my head
Rolls my dendrites down
Reality hill

I profess to despise
Pain and yet why do I
go kicking and screaming
wailing and dying into
situations that would give
me pleasure? Creating pain
where there did not have to be
any?

I am the queen of self sabotage....

Who needs a boost?
With endorphins you are always in the driving seat.
Belt up about clean bill!
Self love, self acceptance come in standard and
De Lux Editions, jewel case or soft pack
signed by the inner peace within.
Put those axons and dendrites to work.
Pump up those dormant alkalies asleep on the job.
Treat yourself well,
be your best health care plan,
be that one and only healer,
wave goodbye to doctors bills!...

Rejuvenating world
A sun of orange, yellow, and red.
Blue bird tree, ebony swirled
Artist clearly has creative head

Exhilarating magic
Whimsical ideas profound
Spiral snow fantastic
Appreciation all around

Circulating in my head
Visions of pure whimsy
Delicate colors, clearly fed
Artwork anything but flimsy

Rejuvenating world
Makes my soul want to sing
My dendrites clearly twirled
Magic world in the spring....

the hidden ones delight my senses
increase my smell nodules
exude expectations
of what faeries, pixies and muses can do

The hidden ones help me prance in my head
keeping me in a happy place

thinking about my faeries, pixies and muses

The hidden ones increase my appetite
for new words, new phrases, new poets
exceeding my expectations
of what faeries, pixies and muses bring to my brain dendrites...

Premium Member Extracting Many Meanings
Extracting a piece of glass from a fishnet’s eye
Clearly drinking shrimp extracted from the sea
I extract myself from the situation rather furiously

Banana extract drunk by monkeys in the sky
Extracted from their nests way up so high
They extract themselves from this poem with glee.

Extract has never had this many meanings for me
A dictionary was necessary for this missive to be
Thank you for enlightening me. Extracting brain dendrites from me....

I am a steampunk mind whirling against the face of new
Colorful in all directions, I like what is happening inside
I live my truth, my dendrites dancing in happy rhythm
Others complain they are stagnant, I live not to be

My pouty lips are natural, no liposuction or faux injections
There is blue green in my eyes with flecks of gold interest
I am an erudite, talented, eager, enthusiastic, and joyfull me
Stand back if you do not understand, for I am ready for lift off...

Give me beauty she said.
My intelligence smirked, thinking her silly.
Give me pretty hair, she hollered.
My ancestral soul gave a growl and a bark.

Give me a man, she added.
I was on the ground now, feet in the air, kicking wildly.
Laughing my guts out, knowing I needed one of those
Like a bird needs an enema.

Give me a pretty face she yelled.
My hazel eyes rolled.
Give me dendrites I thought; and lots of them.
Give me intelligence and imagination and more of me....
