Loving you was a delusion
I was never in love with you
I was in love with what we
could be
The memories we could've
made
The stories we could have told
No relaxation
Must keep my distance from you
I see flashbacks of your face
You don't have me trapped
Your comments I will ignore
I'm safe from your delusions
People who leap to conclusions
Dwell in a world of delusions
Always quick to blame
Throwing tarnish on your name
Subjecting themselves to contusions
Mister Trump had been taking Demerol
But he collapsed after 'building the wall'
Delusions of grandeur
Left him iron-poor
His doctor said, "Switch fast to Geritol!"
You don't believe me,
when I say I can hear them.
I can see them,
I can feel them.
They make me do things,
going along with my delusions.
It's not my fault,
it's theirs.

portal to another time;
beings diverse

upon a screen
past illusions

empires
now tattered
by time’s blade.
Love -implores
Lust –explores
Hunger-feeds
Craving-needs
Having -delusions
Being -confusions
Waiting is a waste of time
Doing quickens the sublime
Wisdom rules
A world of fools

I hate the worlds you paint for me
Believe the lies you fabricate
I love the lies, but then awake
To find no truth in your disguise
Another dream for naive eyes.
The silence engulfs me
The only sound I hear is the one in my head

There once was a nutter quite frightful
Who spent so much time being spiteful
When confronted with truth
Completely debunking her sleuth
She barreled into delusions most delightful!
It slithers and slides..' It hints and nudges..'
Derides! sheds skin. Confusing identity.'s
Yet some intently see ' in conundrums and
Delusions scattered seeds and such patterns
of un-reason.'
Letting go -
The hardest pill to swallow
But you have to.
The art of sacrifice -
Stop believing in lies
Open you eyes.
Giving up -
Not the best decision
But you have to stop those delusions.
Descend from above
Do daring deeds of love.
Deepen the horizons
Deviate the delusions
Dark clouds are tentative
Divine grace is operative.
Do you see the daffodils?
Dare to bloom even on hills.
My days full of joy.
Delusions waver away
like the fading colors of the rainbow.
Strife is turned into peace
as nightingales and their chicks
sing in concert within the stage of the night.
