Premium Member Eye of the Storm

watered-down
yet toxic
shadows shout

jarring notes
discordant
deafens soul

the witness
eternal
is immune

Missing

Celebration chaos
Deafens to silence

This heartache
Fallen from my hand
Still holds
Shadows of desired risk

Dance to me
Sky boy in dreams

Fire Drill

My sandals give me
blisters and this blistering
screech deafens me.
Don’t get your jacket
It isn’t chilly outside
(you must have never
sat under a waterfall)
Form: Narrative

Being Married

Altercations between couples deafens explanation, fuss gets heightened.
In juggling keynotes, Love masks nuisance, openly publicizing queen’s right.
Stained truth, undoubtedly vocals wear. Xenophobia yields zeal

The Devil Mute

Virtue when expressive,
deafens bad intention

Its voice to live beyond,
excuses and retort

A minstrel plays a song unsung,
as sages rise to dance

All words rephrased in lyric tones
—the devil mute and gone

(Villanova Pennsylvania: October, 2019)

Silence

Silence
Beauty unsurpassed by vision, holds me spellbound and enraptured.
Silence
Full of mystery, aloof, yet silence where the answers lie;
The sweetest music does not invade its eloquence.
It dances on the senses and deafens those who will not hear its beauty.

Seven Candles

SEVEN CANDLES

Balloon hysteria,
Paper hat pandemonium,
Blur of arms and legs,
Dance music deafens.
Seven candles in one big blow -
Almost impossible.
Carefully wrapped presents stripped fast -
Ankle deep in patterned paper.
Same next time;
Except eight candles.

Turbulence Ahead

In the dead hours of black mourning
street lamps halo drizzled rain
silence deafens senseless senses
too early in the game

Missing man formation creases
bleached white skies
contrails streak dirty grey
stygian wings eulogize

Tango uniform Lear Test 1
fly away home

The Deadest End

The finer you draw your measurements,
the further away you fall

Each number squared and time compared,
deafens out the call

Your techno-dialectic,
data piled upon itself

A trash heap at the deadest end
—where folly stacks unfelt

Opposites

Opposites

Silence is my only companion
Yet it deafens me
Sunlight is at my back
Yet I am frozen to the core
A childs laughter brightens my soul
Yet my heart is black as sackcloth
Sleep beckons me with subtle whispers
Yet my body tingles with unspent energy
Torn in half laid asunder
Yet forced to appear whole

Premium Member Songless Bird

I perch on a rock by white teal-roofed bungalows, resting after my journey. Autumn's early bloom is a choir of falling leaves by a quiet rippling stream. The silence deafens as bright notes waft like snowflakes to earth in Fall's madrigal. I, a songless bird, rejoice in observation. The rippling stream chimes for me.

Premium Member The Real Revolution

The real revolution is silent. Quiet.
The real revolution deafens. Defeats.
Each revolutionary is a rock. Pure stone.
Together a wall of dissidence,
begging to save their battered innocence.
The clock ticks so quickly
the message lost in a spinning trajectory;
Make ‘the man’ your minion,
take the drum and smash him with it.
The real revolution is loud. Menacing
This revolution will change everything.

Abandoned

Through ghost town I walk alone,
Few buildings stand, most just gone,
Not even sand is swept in piles,
No other presence seen for miles;
I’m not talking some desert slog,
No, it’s about an abandoned blog,
A new poem hasn’t been added,
Message roll has not been padded,
No new photos, or even comment,
The silence deafens, like wet cement;
Where once was lively, visited often,
Sadness reigns, as memories soften.

Premium Member Where are your Voices

Where are your voices, Me-too, Planned Parenthood, NOW
your Jewish sisters violated, raped by the dozens - How
      come you've gone quiet,
                           your silence deafens ...

Those Jewish sisters supported you during hard times
contributed big bucks, marched with you to protest crimes ...

           Now, your covert antisemitism ~
           your future credibility threatens

Silence Ii

Within the celestial void
my energy goes to blend
with yours and then,
as our atoms spread,
they whirl and tumble
through everlasting ether.

Silence deafens
as human consciousness
becomes part of space-wind
all awhirl that tumble
through black holes
filled with stardust.

Made from the universe,
so we will return
perhaps to be more
perhaps to know where we are
as we whirl and tumble
through no-time, no-place,
eternal space.

Concrete Boots

Alone I carry this burden of torment,
but I share the weight of sorrow
With those who’ll try to understand me.
In vain, I use incoherent phrases and
shattered thoughts to convey my painful flashes.

Looking for salvation, I only find condemnation
from those that I believe in.
I struggle to surface but deeper I descend
	into the undertow.
I scream out a name of security but no one
	Answers.
So I call upon my own, but silence deafens.

View of a Coming Storm

I’m standing at the edge of a forest, Waiting for the storm to come in. Lightning flashes in the tempest, While thunder deafens the din. The winds spiral in tumultuous ways, Proving the power of its fury. A harbinger of the end of days, Where each city must be buried. Armageddon shall be orchestrated, As I pray for our destruction. The revolution will not be abated, Anarchy becomes a seduction. This coming storm will bring the fall, So give to Greed its pall.
