Opposites Silence is my only companion Yet it deafens me Sunlight is at my back Yet I am frozen to the core A childs laughter brightens my soul Yet my heart is black as sackcloth Sleep beckons me with subtle whispers Yet my body tingles with unspent energy Torn in half laid asunder Yet forced to appear whole
