Premium Member Dead End

Dead-end streets are all the ways that lead to evil's residence!

Facing hard truths
about my failed beginnings
dead-end relationships
deep thoughts
so dark that
I wish they would stay buried

Dead End

You know a cellphone discharges
Electric cars swamp like barges!
You can't make a case
For drivers who face
Assault a battery charges!

Walking in circles Of depression Silence the ever present killer On the cul du sac Of life
Inspired by the Rat Pack

Dead End Senorita

Wanna hang ?
-I might go ,
Busted car
-Still there’s hope
50/50
-I don’t know ...
Meet my crib
-Try once more
Jumping bones ?
-No señor!

Covid-19 Dead End

Do stop your moaning, for Heaven's Sake!
You're not the first to bellyache!
You can scowl, growl, or howl
Or throw in the towel
But no one can go to your Wake!

Proverbial End

once again
came to a
dead-end
street
no exit point
exists
no means
of escape
no way out
of this present
situation
that we find
ourselves living

Dead End

gonna drive this road
until it dead ends
look 'round every corner
see 'round every bend
find a way back
the fences I'll mend
drive this road
until it dead ends

Life ground to a halt
living down a dead end street
where there's no sunlight
and shadows of doubt linger...
Till your love blew them away.

Nostalgia

Allow me another moment,
A moment in your nostalgia,
The moment that stretches to eternity.

Allow me another mile,
A mile by your side,
The mile that transcends the dead-end.

Lost

There is nowhere to go
Life like a maze
Almost every turn a dead end
Is there no way out
Why am I here
The lowest level of hell
I'm cold and numb
I can't find my way back
Lost

Searching

Why is everything is as it is?
Why not a black-n-white rainbow?
Why not a stairway to hell?
Why death, when living is worse?
Dark alleys in my heart lead to a dead end
I search on.

Untitled

A deeply shaded dead end dirt road, the trees hang low and heavy, swallowing the road behind and shortening the distance ahead; without a trace, car and all, he disappeared into the wood.

Last Road To Rome

Poetry fails
when forced to explain

A dead-end street
with little to gain

Stripped of meaning,
one proffer to name

Magic and wonder
dead,
self-proclaimed

Brooding in the uncertain footpath
A new slant is not seen nearly
Holding back to think clearly
Which steps to follow next
Dwelling in a bleak
Dead end tunnel
Hoping to
See the
Light

The Door

An open path
to a closed door
With a heavy lock
A dead end
A new beginning
A heart
that had fallen
jumped
The heavy door
no more than
a handle
That need not
turn
and
the door
that had
never closed

opened

Premium Member An Abrupt Departure

I find myself at a cross road.
Which way should I go?
To my left is uncertainty.
To my right is a dead end.
So I'm stuck and I can't move.
I have no choice but to exit UP
My private jet is on the way
Goodbye my friends.

Leavened Redemption

Lost in a ditch
on the highway
of life

A change
came upon him
from darkness to light

That dead end
Apostle
arose and broke free

Remanding
his spirit
— at last unto Thee

Who Do You Believe In Or Faith Other Than God

If you are wandering into a dead end street
All out of hope
No one to guide you
Let your instinct take whole
A spirit will complete you when you allow
So if you don't have a clue who it is
Just be greatfull and take the bow

Scars

Scars

Cartography of pain
An indelible portrait
Limned by the woes of yesterday
That made our hearts bleed
& feckly dead-end the flames of hope in us.

But they’re beautiful
Because they remind us of the heroes we are.

On a grave two birds alight;
Ravens both, black as night.
To a tell-tale heart no longer beating,
"Nevermore" they keep repeating.
The demons claim the body below;
For here lies Edgar Allan Poe.

Hurting

staring at the wall
tears run down my face.
no one understands
while im staring into space.

My life feels out of place.

I cant explain the feeling
but it shows in what i write.
all thats in my future
is a dead end thats in sight.

Dead End Plight

Dead end plight

Nothing of anything is nowhere in sight
Emptiness funnels from days into nights
Change is frozen, darkness fragments the light
Limbs are splayed and bound too tight
Senses are closed, only time is left to fight

Dying Fire

Fiery embers bright as the sun,
interwoven with darkness-
realizing the abyss will overwhelm-
everyone meets the dead end.

Deadly flickers with a chance-
youthful, vibrant, snap-
incoming crackle-
neglected fuel-
gives way to empty dreams.
