Premium Member congresswoman Stefanic interrogates president Gay of Harvard

Shall college presidents resign
When the House says words cross the line?
What should we say next
If free speech lacks context?
"Stefanik is asinine!"

Premium Member Crossed Lines

once you cross the line
there is no way to turn back
words can't be undone...

once you break a heart
there is no way to heal it
the cracks will show through

Don'T Wait Till the Rain Comes

Before leaving give me a sign
I don't want you dine
With haters of mine
Don't wine
Till the clock hits nine
Because if you cross the line
You will not shine
Before the shrine

Cranes and Stars

told me an old man
Do you see our weaknesses?
I am you
I am me in another day
do not talk with me about hunger
do not cross the line
because between our lips is our bodies
that burned in the streets.

Cross the Line

Cross the line
Call out my name
Tell me the truth
Stop fearing what you don’t know
Why do you try
To act like there’s nothing?
I asked you questions
You denied it
But why do you say different
To others?

Snap

I lay it down
and cross the line
addressing things
you thought were fine
the connection snaps
I can't go back
only forward
it is too late
what I created
was heavily weighted
the dam breaks
heartache pouring over
drowning what was left

Vita Nova

Poets see verse in every moment
beauty with every look
Pain for every step misplaced
scars that words prebook

Poets see light within the darkness
music in the dread
Hope when wishes cross the line
—life to those once dead

One Life

One life to live.
One life to give.
Such is yours and mine.

One life to live.
One life to give.
We're all pursued by time.

One life to live.
One life to give.
One day we'll cross the line;

One life to live.
One life to give.
And our light will cease to shine.

All these demands

Its might can contain you
But only for the moment that you care
They will challenge you
But only for how long they can stare
They will see if you will cross the line
That they have drawn in the sand
But if their claims have no moral value
The wind will erase the reason for their demand
Form: Rhyme

Afraid

Afraid of whats created me afraid of what it made me,
Afraid of what I am afraid of what I can be.
Afraid of my dangerous thoughts and what they have to say,
Afraid of if I listen who might have to pay.
Afraid to cross the line afraid to speak my mind,
Afraid to go any deeper afraid of what I'll find.

Offer Inciting

It's so common, sometimes
To cross the line that's defined.
Unable to react to this reactment.
Retracting the retractor, of time.
Rthym of reason, lies of truth.
Faded minds of times youth.
Settle down to speed again.
Hurry to wait, for our end.
Send to defend,not to mend
Keep your heart whole and true
Is the season to be of the new.

Disrespect

Living is a lesson
The dead do not speak
Yet I find the sickest thought is the emotion of disrespect
You don't know me
Some never will
Yet I ride life's emotionally rollercoaster
Like a cheap thrill
Do they cross the line of no return
When you don't exercise what you feel
When you play make sure you win
Because the adversary is definitely real

Aim At What Lies Ahead

Aim At What Lies Ahead
A-im at what lies ahead,
M-ove on to cross the line;
Y-our race is God-given, it's the Almighty's design.

S-ometimes the cloud is black,
A-t times the wind is vile;
Q-uest for the new morn,
U-ntil you start to smile.
I-ntend to reach your goal,
D-ark sky is turning red;
O-n the fifteenth of June, aim at what lies ahead.

Let Me In

Show me the private garden of your mind,
I'd promise not to cross the line

I'd leave my soul for you to keep,
Keep your voice in my head on repeat

Pour those pretty thoughts,
And I'd breathe in to taste every words.

I'd mask away pleasantries,
Let me wash away your worries,

I'd watch each sunset in those eyes,
Just to love you in every sunrise.

Heavens Angels

Heaven may not have a phone to hear your loved ones speak.
Heaven has a one way door that everyone meets.
There are no pictures on heavens walls.
There are no locks on heavens doors.
Peace and serenity is what you'll find
when you cross the line.
You're as free as can be
helping and guiding those in need.
Protecting the ones you left behind
as you give your wings a try.

The mystical number nine,
its magic, is not by design.
Its magic speaks
math techniques
which simply cross the line.
==================
Multiply nine by any number
Add the digits in the answer
Do until you can’t add again
the number will always be 9

9 x 1234567890=11111111010=9
Many other tricks with 9's

A Head Held High

When We Reach The End
Who Will Cross The Line?
With A Head Held High
Searching For A Sign
Eyes Burning Strong
Walking Into The Unknown
The Heart Beat Fades
Sinking Like A Stone

The Eyes Once Open
Fall At The Hand Of Another
Driven By Lost Souls
Into The Room Of The Mother
Giving Into Ignorance
Destruction Of The Innocent
The Head Held High
Bowing Before The Malevolent

To the World to life

The room broke down from the middle.
I never dared to cross the line to you, you too.
We talked with different people, we laughed about different things.
But somehow it was happening at the same time.
Because we both were facing each other with a bright smile on our face, a shine in our eyes caused by another.
We both sat in the same direction.
I quickly looked away.

Was it necessary?

Beauty and the Beast

shifting
drifting
dark heart
torn apart
bleedin
seeping
needin
weeping
take me
shape me
start to
knead me
guts on floor
i am yours
seams rifting
soul lifting
i just died
inside your eyses tonight
embrace light
cuz your mine
i cross the line
was elsuive
no exuses
its time
for me to shine

to my lovely p.d. she will always be the beauty that calms my beast

Run

scorching heat piercing my skin
sweat from my body leaping off me as if afraid
 i keep going
 one step after another
 can i get through this
 i start shaking
   my body's akin
 i keep going
 i see the end coming
 blurred vision taking over
 friends cheering me on
 pushing myself pass the limit
 i keep going
a few more feet i hear from the crowd
 i cross the line
 i am finished
 but....i keep going

Victoire

the gun shoots
runners off
one step two step
running with the stride like no other
it passes the 10k mark
my mind is daft
my body chaffed and burnt
at 13 miles and I get a second wind
I am indulging in what I do
fatigue is not an option,
20th mile I'm sore and wreaked
with my conscience I endure
finally, I can see the finish
I cross the line and collapse
that's me sorted
my time here is done

Awaiting Your Call

Can you speak to the masses
will your words cross the line
From youngest to oldest
will listeners opine

How many octaves
can sing out your tune
Is it seasonal only
or July until June

Is time to speak kindly
of what you espouse
Or pile like kindling
as scraps from a house

The listeners are out there
awaiting your call
Their ears to the ground
—will you bend to enthrall

Where Dreams Are Real

You know the place
not far from here
bout half a pace
past doubts and fears and ‘maybe not’
past ‘we all think you shouldn’t aught’

And those who smile and cross the line
to stake a claim in the sands of time
will pit a notion of the mind
against predestined force of time

And in good time they will find
that in that place where one’s dreams are as real as cats and cars
you’ll find the portal
to the stars

Premium Member The Route

Right now I’ve still got all this fight in me,
even as I wage war with bulletproof;
I’m ready sucker punch for the knockout;
Enemies try but just fall short daily,
hardwired sarcasm explodes with a poof;
This was never an exhibition bout.
What lies deep within will not diminish,
I wish this inner conflict would ease ooph!
I’d gladly laugh and let go of this shout,
but I can’t seem to cross the line finish
                     the route.

Necessary Evil

take this blade
and cut your wrists
make escape holes for the devil

let him leave you
through the bleeding
make the world then somewhat level

it's a sacrifice
most unholy
but for the good of all mankind

so take thy soul
unto the slaughter
and you'll find i'm right in time

sure i'm just
your shoulder demon
and yes i've fallen from what's divine

but no lives
will get saved this evening
'less you're willing to cross the line
