marshy mossy fly
fuzzy crowding cattails
green bulldog croaking
music in the bog
evening buzzes and humming
wild things aboard
palm tree island
verdant fronds
frogs croaking at the ready
smell of orchids
my body sighed loudly
i felt all the tension leave my back
Mating Season
Mounting toad croaking
eggs lay in water floating
Here is wet season.

Hear all that croaking?
It comes from the lily pads.

No longer was she a croaking bullfrog
but a pretty faerie in the middle of the meadow
unless you looked under the lily pad
and saw her crooked polka dot legs
gray clouds darkness falls
rain shower seeps into ground~
frogs croaking grass rise

I love cock-eyed whangdoodle writing
When frogs are croaking and fish are biting
I adore silly missives with cartoon-like stuff
Of child-like fun I simply cannot get enough
A Pond’s Melody
dragonflies buzzing
spring peepers chirping for mates
splashing fish jumping for meals
blue herons squawking
bilious bullfrogs croaking
quacking mallards leading young
The day I wake up grumpy, the end will be near
Roll up the sidewalks, as dark clouds appear
It's fast approaching
Wee animals are croaking
Time for us *****sapiens to call it a career
Kettle, Pond and Lake - HAIKU SERIES
kettle...
a whistled cuppa...
tainted water
pond...
a garden feature...
frog croaking...
lake...
inland sea...
fish cavorting...
Coyotes howling
There in the dark rustling trees
Yellow falling leaves
Croaking around swamps
Frogs plop into water
Leaving some small waves
Morning birds chirping
In the highest of home nest
Flapping feathered wings
The blast of nostrils opened up the sea
The stroke of tendrils dried up the tree
The dusty roads covered man's dream of gold
Croaking toads sharpened the sword untold
One day... peace and harmony braced the blue planet E.

Frogs croaking along the banks
of the pond letting their mates know
where to meet them later.
I prefer the cozy fuzzy purple towel the tree frog said.
He rolled his red eyes to the back of his bulging old head.
I did my best to please, so I could get some sleep in my bed.
His croaking kept me on my toes though, my grandma said.
glowing fragrant June
so lustrous on black waters
rare are golden nights
most green croaking frogs
slow fireflies at hide and seek
treetop lullabies
sweet summer midnight
in dreams I feel moon's caress
pouring through the panes
whippoorwill
trills a
song
larks
in trees
sing along
croaking frogs
join the
throng
then
crickets
chirp with ease
symphony
on the
breeze

frogs log in to cloud,
holding wi-fi of croaking,
love to mate on rains.

Salt Fork Lake
The fish are jumping
and the moon is high
as we drift along
under a Summer sky.
Bullfrogs croaking
while fireflies blink
as I sit on this lake
and just dream and think.
No cell phones, no TV.
Just God, nature and me.
Burning love
This fossil fuel goes unrecognized
When calculating brain
Mixed with car trouble
Causes croaking spokes to choke
All folks aside
This burning love is molting
Beyond measure
In caverns unpedaled
To preserve
The feelings in silhoutte
Cats and dogs
Croaking bull frogs
Peas and beans
Dandelion greens
Oaks and pine
Maple trees fine
Lilac and rose
Azalea’s grow
Birds and bees
Two apple trees
Pond and lawn
A spotted fawn
Fence and stonewall
Framing it all
Life breath growing.
Doves dawning song,
Zephyrs blowing.
Daisies blooming
Waiting yearlong.
Showers looming.
Turtles swimming.
Frogs croaking throng.
Creeks near brimming.
Lushness supplying.
Blessings belong.
Rich life implying.
dark clouds appear
as lightning sparks and wind blows...
rain is around
umbrella spreads...
water pours down heavily
flooding the land
seeds sprout out
to form new cotyledons...
soil is wet
frog croaking
as it mounts on the female...
floating eggs
