Musings of a Diehard Behaviorist

What’s on the old mind tonight
       the good old frontal cortex
         the ole gray matter
           ~ not that it does…

Lovers Kiss In Rain

The eagle head has spoken
Even the lightning bolt is broken
My memory starts to fade
Like I have not been called or chosen
The vortex has enlarged
And ate the cortex of the raged

A missing piece
My tears have dried as lovers kiss in rain

No Hope For You

Whatever is in your cranium can be swept away with a broom. For a larger cerebral cortex, there is apparently no room. Since you came into the world, you have been like a mushroom. That is why since your birth, you have been a boomboom.

The Poets Refraction of Headline News

The bending light from the headline
News
As it enters my optic
Nerve
Resonates from eager
Fingertips
Coursing to my
Cortex
As the crisp crunch of
Paper
Crackles in self
Satisfaction
The pungent wisp of fresh
Paper
And strong
Ink
Refract
A

God's Children

We're all God's children,
To do with being human,
Some souls of souls we've got,
If you believe it or not,
Creating in our cerebral cortex,
It's tough humans made this vortex,
Why do we think we're King Rex,
Suppose it's because we're human,
We're all God's children......

i walk upon ground made of dust
i dream in synaptic electricity
i speak in backwards tongue
fo eht woc

i burn like you
but not quite

because i like to split
the atoms

and the molecuoles are unsure
of their existence

the glucose feeds my frontal cortex
in a twisted fashion

this
makes me smile

Copyrights

I put the icing on it
Because I always do the icing before the cake

Just the way I like it
I typed those words spitting them from the cortex of my creativity

I gave birth to them
I am the mommy, the daddy, the sibling, the step parent

Please don't steal
Okay go ahead and steal but remember, I own the signature

The Party

THE PARTY

There's a party going on in my subconscious
There's a siesta in my head

if it wasn't for all this excitement
i might as well be brain dead

There are fireworks in my motor area
New year in my cortex

in my cerebellum it's Christmas
who says all on my brain is sex

Black Hole Flowers

Feel the aurora breeze,
The Universe is a forest of trees
Roots of impossibilities
Infinite uniform black seas--

Petals casting away into Hera's hair,
Condemned to pollinate the air
Rising from the soil of wormholes
Rich in dark matter-- beware.

The stigma and stamen are the vortex,
Under a hex--
Dying indefinitely
The overall cortex.

In Fact, Art Is Just An Artifact

Numb your cortex and let her siblings speak,
Dumb her with a dactylic drumbeat
And let the fronted sound put her to sleep.

Turn off your domineering manager,
So others may awake at waking hour
To pour their paroled thoughts into your art.

Let the furnace of creativity
Create new combinations and concepts
For that is the art, not the detritus.

Put Your Mind To Rest

An empty space
Fade to black
Exposed for the taking
Vital is this
Open lot to sanity
Brace yourself
Darker than the night
Brighter than the sun
Bask in the glow
Of peace and calm
Life is started here
Ends here and
In every sense
Regenerated here
Brief recesses
Gallivanting in the cortex
Refresh my soul
Priming me to face
The universe once again

Reborn

I may have grown tired
but my lungs have opened wide
Never to be so inspired
as when we shut the divide

Now universally singing verses to be heard
voices chorusing uniformly wringing through the urn
which formed splits and fissures through my nervous cord
hexed cortex adorned with loose tissue and enormous horns
looming viciously against my dreams

     I am reborn

Luxurious Life Dries the Humane Tears

rain lives
in the womb of clouds

black and white clouds
flying over the sky crowd

the sun
on its orbital path as usual

but parched bone
feels the sun hottest

I, the cruel people
kill thousands flora and fauna

luxurious life
dries fully the humane tears

now there is no coolness
in retina, visual cortex, optic nerve of the earth...

Annihilation

So you wanna annihilate me…
Perform your version of genocide on me
You wanna silence me….
Deny me freedom
From my birthright of royalty
Like Malcolm you wanna assassinate
My very existence from your cerebral cortex
Damaging your membrane with
Overloads of insane cruel intentions
Plotting my demise
Setting Snares Traps
Hoping I will DIE
But as a famous poet once stated
STILL I RISE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be Yourself

Wiping off unused cerebrum from your cortex
Making conundrums seem poisonous and complex
Swerving the toxins that others lay
Searching for your God when you kneel to pray
Why don't you look in the mirror you'll see him standing there
Through the pupils of context, May the outside providers beware
For it's you who control the masses of your own Glory
It's you that writes it you're the god of your story.

Heart Vs Reason

The Limbic System controls the Heart
The Frontal Cortex Reason
It also tells You what is smart
And lets you know what isn’t

The Heart allows to feel the Gut
The instinct for survival
The Feeling that to Justly act
When Dangerous Fears abound

The heart tells one to carefully watch
If Friend actually suit you
Although the Brain weights out the facts
For the selection truthful

Selection quote # 1
1. "The heart is forever inexperienced."

Pen Journeys

Continuum of creative action
Inspired by views of space quarries
Create a strong magnetic attraction
Of the thinkers of far-out stories.

And they’re opposites in the cortex
But companions in a what-if vortex,
Spinning worlds of imaginations
For present and future generations.

A sci-fi teller can look to the stars
And send your mind on fictitious trips;
Beyond moons, or rings or canals on Mars
And the finite reach of SpaceX ships.

I Persevere

Words burn through my cortex every now and then. I try to get them on paper through my pen. However, they do not seem to come out again. It comes down to a matter of where and when. Throughout the night, they often keep me awake. Extracting them is the next step I must take. The words I want to use are not always clear. Struggles sway between audacity and fear. Somehow, the fruits of my labor ripen here. In a perpetual world, I persevere.

Portrait of Poetry

When feelings overflow in vengeance, radiates in all it's glory, P assions.
On canvas of varied sizes, images in diverse shades, painted in O pulence.
Your mind and heart the palette, where colours mixed of hues E xquisite.
Strokes of brush simulate feelings, within your visual cortex, urges T itillated.
Expressions of every kind explode, in the facade of your soul, R apturously.
You are left mesmerised asking for more & more, for your parched Y earnings.

Dear Old Writers Block

I pace the corners of my brain
Back and forth, forth and back
But the words never make their appearance
I scratch at the cracks of my cortex
Tearing everything away like a mad man
Demanding to get a peek at inspiration
But I only found cob-webs and dust
Impatiently I freak out
Shoving the words
But the words shove back
Letting me know
Who’s really in control here
I sit, defended by dear old writers block
Wondering if I’ll ever
Be the writer I intended to be.

Simple Things

Lost in a maze of diversity,
Where answers often seem
Confused and complex.
As momentum has engulfed
The basics, creating layers
To confound any cortex.

The forgetfulness seldom goes
Perpetual, as genius eventually
Discovers the day.
When it strips away the waste
And the chaff, & simply discards
It to throw away.

Recalling that long-lost pleasure,
Easily uproots
Any unwanted pain.
As simplicity requires little
Effort, and in general, is
Far less to explain.
