The Poets Refraction of Headline News

The bending light from the headline
News
As it enters my optic
Nerve
Resonates from eager
Fingertips
Coursing to my
Cortex
As the crisp crunch of
Paper
Crackles in self
Satisfaction
The pungent wisp of fresh
Paper
And strong
Ink
Refract
A
Poem

...I can touch

Bending light is right. I stay away from the headlines and all the other news media as much as possible - too damn depressing. Love, daver
