Wired, wireless
Contacting, crashing, misdialing
Ever so transcontinental

Mystified
There's a bright yellow ball up in the sky
Can someone help me, I'm quite mystified
Is it an alien planet
With further advancement
Contacting us with hopes our planet to occupy?...

Repotting Me
Constantly is one
Contacting you is keeping alive
And loving you despite the distance
Is a gentle rain
Rapidly to dampen
Loneliness that hamper and threatens
Thus, energizing and maintaining
Our LOVE
And repotting, therefore is for existence
And likens a life supporting device....

goodbye Frank
Forward thinking astronomer Frank Drake
did not worry about a mistake
Tried contacting aliens with radio,
waves had rather far to beam and go.
Frank orbited into outer space last May
Extraterrestrials from Venus do not play
He has put on their flag a USA flag
Even up in space, Frank is showing his swag...

Abstain
Wanted to get laid
But I cannot pay because we have not been paid
So…ran to get aid
Now I am afraid
Of contacting aid
Because if I should contact aid
No amount of aid
Will cure the aid
So instead I have decided to abstain
Because abstinence is the best aid
To avoid aid
ABSTAIN!!!!

Dear Poetry Family
Poetry Family
I don't know if this poem, you will see.
I miss you all, terribly!
I cannot access any of you
This is my fist time in two days, I could log in,
In hopes of contacting you
You have become my family,
I do mean this, most gratefully.
And~ most humbly.
Love,
Panagiota Romios

Mail Server Down?
There once was a place called Poetrysoup
Where poets from across the world could post
But contacting them with comments and such
Proved to be impossible for there was no host.
Poetrysoup and Support do not exist
As my email was bounced up to thrice
So since you read each poets work
I submit this to inform and also to be nice....

I do not know?
I Tried Again
I tried contacting you again
And it didn't make me fully grin
I wrote you a letter
So I could feel better
I don't know if you read it
Or just ditched it
I don't know if I'll hear from you
At least I tried and was true
It's up to you now
I tried again and so how
I will continue living my life
Knowing that I tried again with all my might
I love you still
So I continue to walk my life of many hills...

Impromptu
courting
my muse
with sweets
and flowers
and poems
no
she gives
me the poems
and i to her
give sweets
and flowers
in return
i receive
poems
that's it
that's the deal
we made
the contract
contacting me
with poems
but i can't
i've tried
to eat
my words
the taste
of paper
even with
salt and
perhaps
pepper
i'd rather
lick her
toes
then
eat
poems
instead
of courting
i'm taking
my muse
to court...

A Christmas Memory
A Christmas memory
By Curtis Johnson
To this small community, my wife and I had come in 1974 to pioneer a church.
Our resources were meager, but we wanted to touch the lives of about 50 families.
Contacting a generous grocer, we secured a discount of a vital product for any home.
On Christmas morning, we gave small packs of washing detergent to delighted families.
