Impromptu
courting
my muse
with sweets
and flowers
and poems
no
she gives
me the poems
and i to her
give sweets
and flowers
in return
i receive
poems
that's it
that's the deal
we made
the contract
contacting me
with poems
but i can't
i've tried
to eat
my words
the taste
of paper
even with
salt and
perhaps
pepper
i'd rather
lick her
toes
then
eat
poems
instead
of courting
i'm taking
my muse
to court
