dreamin about my first true love
Adonis at nineteen.

Dreamin about the wave in his hair

Wearin an odd sock on each foot
not even the same color it seems.

preparing for his big night
she had been given strict orders as to how 
to ignite his passions just right 
the perfume was spritzed soft and light
the negligee warn low and tight   
but this year when the knock arrived at the door 
indicating his arrival ,

some say trouble's on the way.
Nonsense I say, just a total lunar eclipse
as the moon passes through 
the darkest part of the Earth's shadow
any light reaching the moon is refracted 
through the Earth's atmosphere
which scatters the blue light,
