Coastline
The change has been painful
Grief broke my bones and turned my blood into sand
Life is a current ever flowing
Oceans wash away memories like coastlines
Time will continue to steal from me

Maunakea comes
into view. Coastlines
from right side windows.

But the individuals stand
By their own representations
Truth moves on like shifting sands
On the coastlines where we strolled
When the world was looking grand
And the future wasn’t that small.
