Darkness and Chaos

Darkness has fallen
cloaking the world in shadows
so mysterious

letting in chaos
to rule and conquer the night
until break of day

Dancing In The Lamplight

In this guest room I only have this brown king-size blanket
To comfort me while I am also cloaking my movements
As I am dancing, listening to my headphones as I crank it.

Mind

Clocking is cloaking my plans,
Chasing me to drive home to
             unfurl my modus operandi,
Cramming my mind but the hazy thoughts,
Leaving me at length in the lurch !!

Light Always Rises

ebon night dwindles

     cloaking mournfulness of heart—

a street lamp flickers

Trapped

Birman clouds gathered
To bury the top
Clawing their way down
to the dale below
White and grey cloaking
Short and sharp showers
Bitingly icy
Enveloping all
Felinely smothered
Now invisible

Growing Dark

cool sun silhouette
           crows cloaking the naked trees

                    a long shadow cast

The Ways We Fall Asleep

Sometimes I dream
of falling asleep
on white powdered sand
as comfortable as a Futon
with powerful ocean waves
cloaking my legs and torso
like a blanket immersed
in saltwater
keeping me warm
each and every nig

Words

WORDS

Simple recipes of letters
with a dash of thought.
When served to one once-desired,
either bearing truth
or cloaking deceit,
none ever idle,
none ever empty.
These swords of diplomacy
cut both ways.

Swim My Soaking Fishery

You've got smoking synergy
I've been cloaking energy
We're a broken tapestry
We've got token chemistry
They'll be croaking amnesty
We'll be poking sanity
In your joking vanity
I'll be choking symmetry
You'll be stroking emnity
In my oaken ministry.

Prey

soaring in clouds
spirit of an eagle
eyes hunting
falling upon
the prey

shadows in wings
cloaking feelings
emotions flying
the heart's wings
fluttering in mid air
spirits sing
greeting you

a soul lands
unto your ground
prey this heart
in you
it found
a nest

Within the Oily Wonder

What wicked things wail this way?
Nothing that I know of--
Only this cloaking curtain,
This mooned and muted shadowland...

All fright is found in non-disclosure
Within the oily wonder,
Punctured by scars and stars and
Wounded well-wishers
Wondering upon a sparrow'd wickedness.

Sky

Silk black sky it’s beauty we fear
It’s ever so close its drawing near
Cloaking our body caressing our skin
Hard to breath air so thin
Restless eye long to sleep
Slip slip away into the deep
With thoughts and dreams
You drift away awake to start a brand new day

Heavenly

Heavenly

A day is done.
Nocturne has come.
Heavenly night so caressing and quiet,
can hide pain in the shadows
and sing dreams till dawn
believing nothing’s wrong
while the star-studded sky sleeps,
cloaking the lonely ones who weep on
graceful tear stained pillows

Her Head Held High

Alone she walks, her head held high
To her the crowd is indomitable,
With determination and vigor she smiles unwittingly
Never to anticipate her heart is full of torment
Bruised by the thorns in her life, she obscures her cicatrix
With make up, cloaking her beauty and grandeur ,she walks with her head held high

Dawn Meets Dusk

Dawn
               sunshine, daybreak
     morning, illuminating, awakening
brightness, noontime, sunrise, moonrise
      gloaming, enveloping, cloaking
               nightfall, darkness
                         Dusk

Rainmaker

The Rainmaker

l sat with anxious desires

looking to the sky for solace

humming fretfully

Chanting eerily

aching and straining

Hailing for the drops

l am wailing and raving

as l stir a flame

swaying with the swirling smoke

l am shivering amidst this trial

cloaking my shame

with the chilling wind

The Transmutation

The dust dappled panes of window
glass shiver,
in their winter finery of frost crystals.

Elaborate patterns form,
lace-like in their elegance;
cloaking the everyday remnants
of drearier days.

And, as the morning sun rises higher
in the cotton batten sky,
the finery transmutes, tears form;
streaking the dirty face of dawn.

Cloaking

Lost unto a Gin spin
The blood grows thin
To the beckoning
Of a morning hangover of regret
And reading the tet a tet
Of slurring rambling
The pre-amble
Shall read
Here lies the afterbirth
Of the Man Child Boy
Who writes until the morning
Comes to fetch what is left
Of the night before
Bore the brunt of self loathing
In Emperor's cloaking

As If We Never Said Goodbye

You and I living together in a vacuum,
With separate gazes as I close my eyes
You hear the sighs, unattended and inert--
The night cloaking us in darkened mantle
Wishing it could pull a starglow to end
The distance from ripping apart at the seams;
And align what could bind or unbind us finally.

1861

Silent, dawn crept low and solemn
Over the Virginia valley
The misty orange haze of a pale sunrise
Cloaking the farmer's field

Blue and Gray, mixed with red
Life fleeing with each labored breath,
Stillness broken only by
The rattle of death's leave

Mother Earth sorrowfully accepts
The pain, the regret, the wastefulness.
Generations lost forever,
Over the cornfields of Antietam.
