Sins

Every sin is a way to get better
Its not GREED if you want extra
The lazy SLOTH need not do all
When is VANITY classed a fall
Is it wrong to LUST after health
Or take extra PRIDE in yourself
For sure GLUTTONY is hunger
I think the ruler ENVY the sinner

Boys In My Front Room:The First Sounds (2009)

I listened so coy
A smile combed ever so softly
Across my face
Could you tell
I wanted to tap out the beats
Too shy to try and steal your thunder
Out done, out classed, speechless
As the words stole my heart away
In this room
Sat proudly on cushions
Upon couches
Where muscians were born

Bereavement

Bestowed bereavement, this condolence graft,
the memorabilia sequence, mine not draft
like some ongoing virtue, depth not classed,
forever love relinquish at the pass
the merriment not, but laughing, seal to last,
joy to eternal hoping, prithee to cast
my soul, not rent with sorrow
seams with bast . . .

The Name Game

I’d never have guessed the fuss behind names To the rich and famous, their claim to fame To some a status of great importance Some changed by deed poll, classed as a hindrance Mr, a title and blend of Master Mrs, feminine can one go faster Such fuss over names, fill me with laughter They’ll always be here, before and after.

Nameless Heroes Remembered

Grey gravestones stand erect like soldiers.
Fallen heroes in nameless graves,
they fought for king and country
and paid a heavy price
with their precious lives.
We should give thanks
and pray for
those who
died.

*gravestones classed as 2 syllables NOT 3 as per how many syllables

What Am I

Material riches I have not
Fame unknown the star too high
Brilliance I'm not classed within
The strongest not but I get by.

Beauty I have seen beyond
Love I feel and value so
Trust I have and also give
Tears there are for me to grow.

On my path others cross
Some are lost at how to
Like I too was
But with the Lord I found me.

From Far Away

When you stand or walk afront me
The grace of your elegance surpass the Sun's
You are a star so far away
That I can only watch but never touch
You exist in such way
Distant, classed, different...
That my passion can only pray
I've learned to love you this way
In imaginations, from far away
In hope, that our story entwine someday
In longing, that noticing me once you may

Re Treat

Chastity went to a nudist camp
And wondered why they turned down the lamp
But when she saw Dick
With his wilted wick
She knew at once why the seats were damp!

 Contributed by Belle Bellevue:

Chastity quickly dressed and left the site
Not wanting to be classed “lady of the night”
At home was a note
Her sister had wrote,
“Gone to set the wicks of the world alight”

40 Degrees North of the Egg

I tolerate everyone
Never classed myself human
The box thinks outside me
Wishing the whole worlds legs would fall off
Loser true and proud
Turning your spit to pickled stars
Words link arms in protest at my use
Dont try
40 degrees north of the egg
I threw that line before you
and now i will explain
My breathed out final words
My lasting epitaph
Force on them a laugh
And leave me in the past

Only In Autumn 2

Autumn’s blessing comes
into view, soft
as a caressing breeze,
or a leaf floating through
on its dying wheeze.

When in flight,
a bright yellow flip
prepares to light
on a blossom’s lip

Not shapely or colorful
as others are classed,
it appears late, fills my plate,
after those have passed.

Tiny yellow butterfly
comes winging by
with late summer joy,
a soft contented sigh.

Summer’s swan song.

Let's Do the Orangutan Dance

Let’s do the orangutan dance, she suggested.
Several of them took off, wiggling and jiggling.
Sounds great! I agreed, trying to get in the middle of them.
They kept squeezing me out though.

“Come here,” said the instructor. “I will show you again.”
The director of the movie yelled “Take 94, get rid of that one!”
Rude I know, but this was my ninety-fourth try.
The orangutans always out-classed and out-danced me.

Sad world

Isn't this a sad world?
Shouldn't we do more?
People dying every day
Others classed as poor
Where's the happy endings
For those who do deserve
Where's the Christmas spirit?
To those who live on nerves
If God could shake this life up
Banish all the bad
Make the people smile again
Instead of feeling sad
Entering a new age
We will wish for peace
Hoping in the new year
The fighting all shall cease

Old 66 Mustang

This 1966 mustang that i own
It unique and thinks it has it own throne
Oh yes it drives
Thats until the engine dies
Was this car ever fast
To me it seems out classed
Since last year I've worked on this car
Everyone knows i haven't got that far
But i know it has potential
Even thought i just broke it rear end differential
It doesn't roar
And no its not like that greek god thoar
More or less its funny
I should call it a big lovable bunny

Protect Me As I Sleep

Nobody
Knows my real name
‘Angel’
Is what I go by
I am freezing cold
I don’t have money
Just, the clothes on my back
I am a walking wardrobe
I am lonely
I smell like crap
I am starving hungry
I can’t find any shelter
My clothes are drenched
I look like a drowned rat!
Violence
Upon women
Is classed normal
Around here!
I wonder...
If
I will survive
Another day?
Only
To wake up
And
Do this
All over, again!
“Protect me tonight
As,I lay my head to rest”
“I love you, dear God”

“Goodnight”
