Premium Member Don’t Cave In

Don’t raise the white flag
when sly boots ennui sneaks in
stoic mould is key
life is that intriguing quest
a conjugated footpath

Pigged Out

There once was a cave man named Morris,
Who lived in a cave in the forest.
He was undone one night
By his huge appetite:
He devoured an entire brontosaurus.
Form: Limerick

Premium Member He Ate Like a Horse

Little Teddy was so awfully thin
His poor legs were no wider than a pin
He ate six meals a day
   Straw, barley, oats and hay
Indigestion made his stomach cave in

Seek Refuge In the Soup

Funny depressed
Seek refuge in the soup
When your heart beats to fast
And ghost's crawl the walls
Slowly dim the light
Till your boxed in a corner
Watching the entrance cave in
Am I afraid?
Yes I am
I am holding my own hand

A Sleepover

If I but find a deep dark cave in some remote a cove
Oh, I’ll curl up on a bed of leaves and hibernate like the bear
to lie dormant all seasons through in this sweet sanctuary.

Premium Member Unscratched itch

my brain says to itch
I meditate not to itch
mind over matter

the longer I don't
my mind is a raging mess
mind over matter

I cave in to itch
I scratch and scratch and scratch - awe
mind over matter

Fate and desire
Conquering many fires
Summing up the trials
Into a wholesome yearnings
Though the heavens cave-in
the sun loses his face

Poking faith with a stake
daring fate to its face
With a relentless vision

Hit Rock Bottom

hit rock bottom
fell into a whole
of one's own making
created from years
of mistakes that
have pilled up
atop one another
creating an emotional
cave in creating a
grand canyon sized
whole to be constructed
within the land of
the past self's missteps

We

we keep our own promises
why do some cave in
second target of guilty strings
for the reason you denied being me
I as I
me for me
Now your blind
and still you see
what was
what was
it is that way
it shall pass
with us
transforming today
god lives through us
as we believe the futures we're shaping, humbly

When I Close My Eyes

as we all play our part in life
events beyond our control
can take you down
you can fall into yourself
cave in
but when I close my eyes
I can see
your sweet face
gentle blue eyes
feel my breath on your skin
melt with the heat of your touch
eyes wide open brings truth
as my heart aches with raw pain
unbearable loss

Fear and Time

Fear of love and dread losing love
My body desires your flesh
My soul calls for your spirit
My eyes wants to see your smile
My skin desires your tender touch
My heart hopes for true love
My mind does not allow me to gamble
and cannot cave in to your charms
I regret to lose my love
I dread of being right
Time will let me know
when i have lost love

Doors Calling

Drops of hues on dews
Your vibrant doors are in bloom
Gone is all my gloom

######

It’s time to unlock
Drop my time-stopping letters
Sooner than later

######

Rain is at your door
Moments won’t come back again
Greet it in your veins

#####

Wide eyes at the door
I’ve to get down from the train
To cave in still more…

Concept 2

Imagine a cave in which you see yourself. There are many versions of you there. For example, you having 8 beers, you reading a book, you doing a drawing, you listening to music, you doing many things. A dozen versions of you, a hundred, a thousand. All unaware of each other. They can't talk but can they see each other? Or are they oblivious to each other? Is this cave real or in your head?

The Hunger Doesn'T Help

I have a paper due on thursday
and i haven't started
Bills pile up like laundry
Specking of drity clothes, I'm wearing my last pair of underwear
and my heart hurts
not emotional, phsically,
like its about to cave in
been look for a job the last few weeks like christians have been look for Jesus
Not enough bus fare to get to class
My head is pounding
...and the hunger doesn't help.

For a While

Hide me in the brightest love
in the deepest corners of your arms.
Just a look ....
Your face tends to lift me off
somewhere other than here,
a thousand miles away.
I don't feel the world is gonna cave in,
I'm in the lightest parts of you
taking it in.
Let this not pass.
It's more than a good feeling,
I transcend and surpass the hurt.
And I'm glad that for a while
this could last.

Love Has No Age Limit

Never let your life become mundane
Whatever you have witnessed
There are more wonders to see

Life has barely read a chapter
So turn over the page and as you do
Look carefully and it will set you free

Age doesn't make you any less a child
Your eyes have been open longer
But no less susceptible to awe

Love has an ageless soul
So let your heart cave in
See life's beauty and love once more

Achoholism

when i sleep i fa into slumber
then i awake with what seem
seems to be the worst headache
the walls cave in
i need to satisy my hunger
im in my own hell of demons
no need for heaven
somewhere theres a place for me between
a world thats not forseen
whats on my mind
a terriable fate thats left behind
when i sleep at night
the walls creep in my demons insight
though frightfully its a sin
sometimes its just there i have to give in

Premium Member The Dread of Holymen

A late night howl
cuts the moon in half
the stars hide deep
within nights' breast..
A fraying of sanity
in the coming days
oh... the salted irony
of a newborn grave

A crush of blue blasts in
as gilded thoughts flee
spring nests cave in
to the icy throat of elegy

All have an invitation
to the rabbit hole lounge
where hearts impale upon
the face of 90 proof clowns

A test of faith-the holymen say
but even they'll dread their final day

Don'T Trust

Don't trust
Don't be one of them
Don't wait till it's too late
And then cave in
Keep your head on straight
And always know
People will change
Their face in the show
Don't be a fool
For a charming smile
A two-faced mind
Will make a smile lie
Don't think you have it all
And settle in so easy
They'll make you feel at home
Then be quick to deceive you
Just keep your head on straight
And always know
People will change
Their face in the show

Behind the Stars

Your savior in disguise
A place that is safe
Your fortress in the sky
Just for a little waif

When you need to hide
When your walls cave in
Just look to the sky
And let it sink in

No one will find you
Not a soul tonight
They will try their best
But you will be alright
Just hide in the deepest blue

It's your sacred fort
A place just for you
Your dreams are your port
To a place that is true

Not too far away
But far enough
Escape from the day
When it gets tough

Premium Member I live in an underground house

I live in an underground house
we built it eighteen years ago in a hill sloping south
from the road, our home is invisible
tree line of renegade shrubs hides us
our roof is four foot off the ground in the back
all of our windows and doors are in the front
the back is a solid wall of concrete
we live in the ground like moles and snakes
when the electricity goes out, it is a cave in here
darker than any place we had ever seen
best to take a nap when this happens

Castle of Cards

forget forget
don't let this cozy
castle of cards
cave in on me
rain on my parade-
language is built
on charades, empty
molds of words,
cascades of dripping
thoughts. the night
lies heavy & distraught,
confused why it's
always so dark.
(stark dark)
my body is the
mark of the
devil, my soul:
miracle, a complete
act of god.
forgotten forgotten
the earth is
rotten &
covered in dust-
thrust out of the
sky, i ride bareback,
clinging to the
gasping land.
