At the

Pouncing on
The tapioca

Premium Member Cat Takes Us Hostage

The cat can stretch out anywhere
In grass or gravel
In catnip patches

However he has a favorite spot
In front of the front door
Holding us hostage

Home Bake

table of pies and baskets of scones
catnip for Sassy and Sparky gets the bones
sweetness in the air and flour on the floor

Catnip

There was a lion tamer named Roner
Who acted at times with dishonor.
He abused a lion one night
Which led to a horrible sight.
Hundreds saw Roner become a goner.

Premium Member Catnip For Sale

Catnip for sale by the sprinkle or the slice.
After you have it you’ll easily catch mice.
Did not know which, so I tossed some dice.
Dead chipmunk in my mouth, so wasn’t that nice?

Premium Member Haiku: Miss Behaved - Double Trouble

miss behaved like miss
thus proving all bets are off

Premium Member Halloween Cats

Halloween cats are a-sneaking
From behind Jack O'Lanterns a-peeking
High tails twining in the moonlight
They think they are a fright
Drinking with the wrong ghostly ilk
Too much catnip in their milk

Catnip Dance

Cats, cats do the catnip dance
Watch as they scuttle, and prance
And arch their backs
Cats, cats in their hypnotic trance
Pass out near their placemats
They need more before they play
With their rats

Two Cats and a Mouse

Two Cats and a Mouse

There were two cats in one house
One of them liked to roam.
The other preferred to stay home…
There, the catnip mouse she pounced.

Premium Member Cat Star

She must have gotten into the catnip.
She's whirling around the house.
Like she's being chased
by the ghost of her friend.
She's finally settled in
atop the feathered couch...
twitching like a whiskered star
or dying mouse.

Premium Member Stalking Prey

Like tigers, cats stalk their prey waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. Intense focus is required for success in the kill. The fierce cat crouches low and with a butt wiggle he pounces, the catnip mouse unaware of danger.

Ziggy, wild at heart
His claws in everything including my fake furs
Scat! He’ll dart

Give him catnip
Now my happy kitty just purrs
A tip

Keeps

Ziggy, wild at heart
My happy kitty just purrs and
Sleeps

Gave Shark catnip and he turned into a hippie
Took me straight back to the seventies
Put on his fur vest and fringed headband
Made the peace sign with his paws
Became morbidly mellow
Docile, chilled, rolled onto his back
Soaked up the sun with his tongue hanging out
A happy addict

My Own Little Garden

Grow garden
wild and free
neat and tidy rows
do not define thee.
Borage and cornflowers
feed my bees
while butterflies
rest in the parsley.
Catnip for my feline friends
next to my basil and thyme
Ignore the weeds
if you please
I think my garden is sublime

Premium Member Cat and Cardinal

The cat likes being under the chair
Which is why catnip is scattered there.
Coughs up fur ball and all kinds of hair.
He gives me an evil feline glare.

Find his challenge something I share.
We sit together without a care.
Red cardinal fly in on wings of air.
Cat eats it up like a sweet éclair.
