There is beauty in the lessons we learn in life
for they are the things that help us transform
from caterpillars to butterflies.
Southern Butterfly
The Green dill gave him a thrilll
Caterpillars born
Caterpillars gone
Dill eaten none remains now
Empty stems no chance
IN COCOONING TIMES
Faithfully cocooned,
Caterpillars soon become
Soaring butterflies:
In your life’s cocooning time,
Seek God’s metamorphosis:-
Struggling to breathe
On dry land
Butterflies in my stomach
Yet I don't remember eating caterpillars
A cold sweat
Runs down my back
Everything is okay…
Right?
Graceful butterflies
flutter about my garden
sipping droplets of nectar
from favored flowers,
caterpillars in costume;
they're uniquely beautiful.
6 earthmovers terracing a hill,
no more horses in a swale of green.
4 lanes westbound, 4 lanes east.
Caterpillars are eating the fields>
We take the long easy curves
black-shod.
Worms
Blue birds
Morning chirps
Almost summer
Mother nature casts its spell on the earth
Promises us renewals and rebirth
Caterpillars
Bright flowers
Showers
Warmth

wildflowers brighten
fallow fields on a summer day
while caterpillars
eat all green leaves along their way.

Practicing Nette Onclaud’s newly invented form: Quadro
From creepy crawler caterpillars to beautiful butterflies
Metamorphosis takes place and out poops these colorful guys
Impressive yet simple
Not a single pimple
Clearest skin right down to its thighs
Looking at my son, is like looking in the mirror
With his outlook on stuff it couldn't be clearer
His taste in women
Rival daddy's, a given
As well craving brussel sprouts and passion for caterpillars
Face well worn, Graying hair,
Marlboro in his mouth.
Clay-dirt boots, dusty hat,
Bologna from a sack.
Tastes of nicotine and diesel,
he can’t spit it out.
The old man makes his living
on a caterpillars back.
Butterfly floating
Southern Blue Swallowtail Lays
Love on Meadow Rue
Soon caterpillars
Stinking like skunk munch and munch
Meadow Rue for lunch
The air is filled
Miniture blue sailing off
To mate for their day
bird poop
covering the orange tree –
giant swallowtail
We had these caterpillars on our little citrus tree until heavy rains washed them away. :( We were hoping for flying flowers!

Apples.. beetles.. caterpillars..
daisies everywhere..
fertile ground.. hollyhocks..
Ivy jumbled kegs..
leafy mint.. nematodes..
oregano..peas..
quiet rest sunsets.. tomatoes under vines..
wheelbarrows.. xanadu yearning zeal!
I watched a little caterpillar
walking up a tree
and wondered how
that worm would look
if he were dressed like me.
I think his mother would complain
if she had shoes to buy,
cause by the time she tied them all
he’d be a butterfly!
to see hawthorn on the Summer hedges
bluebirds on the ledges of the low lying sill
near the old cotton mill
bird song fills the air, chirping cheeping, caterpillars creeping.,
through the leaves of green
glistening in the summer sun.
JUST WONDERING IF….
Snails race each other
Alleycats love arias
Rats ever get disgusted
The devil dreams of ice cream
Caterpillars long to fly
Mosquitoes watch vampire movies
Billy really did it

Someone decides
And then terminates
The colorful catepillars, feeding
On the lovely, little flowers.
No one stopped to ask
The flowers, if their wish
Was to live for appreciation
Or, die for metamorphosis.
caterpillars live
time in the dark...
laboring till a dawn of flight
and a past life to remember...
and, caterpillars don't understand
those choices that butterflies have...
the cognitions that are not as unwell but
wisdoms in children voices remembered...
Looking beyond our differences,
the image deepened
Speaking without words,
the conversation spiked
Touching without holding on,
all feelings turned to ecstasy
Loving while letting go,
—the caterpillars delight

Pale brimstone
on days windblown
hover flower to flower
ducking Spring's sudden shower
Common butterflies so blue
each season,two generations new
small heath,argus,marbled white
&speckled brown,slow in flight
Winter's caterpillars green &small
fragile miracles,to enthrall
the dancing discouraged his grief as branches under the sky of a fireworks of war
forged by then the caterpillars and the bees
take the nectar sweet flower of the sins they stay at home as the war steadily
creeping bitterness among the clouds they see
The move in the dark grip
