Absentminded
Today I dropped words

between cracks in the pavement:

half-written screenplays.

My muse, a cappuccino,

conjures romance while I sip....

Coffee
I remember your
Early morning latte
Late evening cappuccino
Midnight espresso
And all things between them.
But now, I just have their tinges
Be it your coffees
Or your memoirs....

Cappuccino
Frothy coffee looks so good,
While flat coffee looks so bare,
I love my cappuccino,
Two sugars stirred with care.

I have a special seat
In my local Coffee Shop,
It makes me feel so relaxed
When I hear those two cubes drop....

Morning Stress
My alarm goes off loudly
my aching head had to much sleep
my coffee machine perks
my cappuccino must be sweet
my body demands a shower
my clock warns me of being late
my car keys are somewhere else
my stress is equal to madness...

A Cup of Coffee
Alluring aroma

Calls us over
Uplifting bean
Pulverised to make us keen

Olfactory sense starts to excite
Firing up with delight

Caffeine or caffeine free
Oh what a pleasure to taste and savour it be
Frothy cappuccino or americano
From which do you choose
Either one
Ecstay exudes...

Premium Member Tongue Tied
For the winter carnival bundled up,
frozen breath adds to anticipation;
Steaming cappuccino filling my cup,
the vertex of this warm celebration;
Eliminate the need to be grown-up,
tonight enjoy a childhood fixation;
Indulge yourself in a ferris wheel ride,
an event leaving you all but tongue-tied....

Cappuccino
A cup of cappuccino.
Make me feel comfortable.
Feels like staying inside of velvet milk.
Take a slip of cappuccino.
I can imagine.
Velvet milk in my left.
Espresso in mt right.
Grasp my hands.
Take a trip to coffee world.
Fly through the bitter cave.
There is a milk waterfall.
We jump in it.
Take a milky bath.
What a happy time it is....

Tequila
She was a shot of tequila,
Gulped by every tippler.
She was a vase of carnations
Set on a high table,
For everyone to smell.

She was a lodge napkin,
To absorb their bodies' muck
She was a cup of cappuccino,
To calm their tactile desires.

They contaminated her,
And she is contaminating,
The gullible satyriasis.
Soon, hearses will be
Moving around!...

Premium Member a terrific place to write
One caramel macchiato, a barista calls out
Two people rush to the counter
It has a name written on it,
One returns to her seat empty handed

I sit in the corner with my laptop, watching the show
Coffee shops are a terrific place to hide out and write
Cappuccino, mocha, latte, expresso, the barista calls
As people head to the counter my fingers begin to click...

Autumn Kiss
Just before dawn
Basking in solitude
A Doe and her fawn
Delicately intrude

A crunch of leaves
Beneath legs of sticks
Mother Nature breathes
A chilly morning fix

Pumpkin spice
Cappuccino
This is the life
I'm glad to know

Sweater shawl
Fringed tips
All in all
A lovely glimpse

A portion of life
Too often missed
When dawn is ripe
My soul is kissed...

Last Stop Cafe'
With only one more night together
we ordered cappuccino
sat by the window
and stared out
at the crowded station.

I pictured you
in some God forsaken place
dodging bullets and grenades
cursing the enemy
and longing to be wrapped in me.

You pictured me waiting, worrying,
dreaming of the day you'd return,
and then you smiled
a smile of dread, as if you knew
this would be our last rendezvous......

At the coffee shop
Thumbing through a magazine
One photo catches my attention
A child’s tearful eyes
Reminding me how life is so unfair
Tragedy being humankind’s lottery
And there’s no questioning
The meaning of it all
Fighting feelings of helplessness
As one meaningless salty tear falls
Into my six dollar cappuccino

Who Am I of No Religion
Who Am I of No Religion

I believe in chocolate sprinkled on my cappuccino..
I believe In a genuine smile
I believe there is life after death
I believe in the ethereal realm and sometimes I visit for a while
Our history our code our friends and all their souls, they would like to help us all
I believe that God is in the trees , the birds , the Meadows, the skies, the seas, God is all about us , God is you and me...

Cappuccino
Seduced by the air
The Mastrena pulls me near
enchanted by beans

Grinding espresso
screech foam frothed to warm bubbles
Stream caught entangled

Pour at an angle
Chasing rising to the edge
Tepid in hand, sip.

The Bottom Line
in the early
hours of her
late night
her

cappuccino
skin turns
more milk
chocolate

ocean waves
pound outside
her window
asking instead

for her
to walk in
as if she were
the one knocking

but everyday she
dawns on a yellow
bikini contrasting
her now darkening

body growing from
twenty four to twenty
five percent
cocoa

after five days
four in full sun
i ask to see
and she

shows me
her bra and
panty tan
lines...
