Calluses
My hands,
Eroded by life’s troubles,
Quake in fear,
I see it approaching,
Intense and meaningful,
Is a subtle death....

Picking and choosing,
really? That’s not how it works.
All or nothing isn’t easy,
create that mindset now!
Twice as instrumental
in the execution of exquisite,
champions challenge themselves.
Eroding calluses with their will....

Yellow Truth
Those men like calluses put a yellow tape:
"Do not pass!", and start sawing the iron.
And the iron cries.
I stay suspended as a bubble
and tremble. It is time for me to learn the truth:
I know how to fly - or I know how to become a callus
waiting for those men to build
some new stairs....

Metacarpus
Lines broken and crossed,
Weathered skin,
Sun baked,
Fissured knuckles,
Short nails,
Old breaks
Crooked finger
Worn tips,
Scars,
Wrinkles,
Big surface veins,
Hair,
Blood blister,
Hard calluses,
Softened calluses,
Fresh scratches,
Small slivers,
Stained,
but ...
Awesome.

My hands.

Thank you, Lord....

Hunker down people-nothing lasts forever.
stay at home until this Wuhan devil blows over.
it's not so bad... being home
You know the place you dreamed about
finally purchased with blood and calluses.

So man up-hunker down
there are airborne asps flitting about
man up-hunker down.
until this Wuhan devil blows over....

They tell a story,
these imperfections.
Every wrinkle's
an emotion sealed
by routine feedback.

Indents and scars
were carved with care.
Mistakes were made,
but you were spared.

Calluses
show your strength
through tough times.

Each crease
defines

you.

Mandate
Reprogramming my mind.
No longer a caregiver,
from now on I shall be overseer.
My words the whip,
these daily tasks a cotton field
of sorts. This child shall feel
calluses on his hands
as he pushes himself
from a lowly existence and
pursues happiness like a
homeless man who missed it.
From embryo to prince,
from idea to fruition, boy to man,
he is my mission....

rotten carcass
I have calluses on the inside of my body.

I am smooth and polished on the outside.

But once you peel away my cocoon, you will find cuts and bruises.

My intestines are knotted, tied in one big bow.

My bones are cracked and discolored.

my muscles are tangled and weak.

My brain has pins in it, i am someone's voodoo doll.

But no one will ever know, i hide it so flawlessly.

A Coconut Tree Climber
He climbs up rhythmically
keeping his legs
within a ring of rope
like his life.

Intuition assures
the ripeness;
life-nut falls down
from the tree top.

Just a slip
will end in all end,
but practice
rarely slips.

Though the ways are hackneyed,
he’s honeyed and free
under his calluses.

Morrows and yesterdays,
he never climbs upon.
He hugs today, green and yellow
like the coconut tree leaves....

I purged my heart, and there's nothing left but sin it beats no more it's hard as a rock Help me from within please, God Come embrace me touch my pound of flesh Reshape me and remove the calluses Take me out of this paralysis Engulf me with your spirit Change me back make me a new being Taking my sins away Father God I need to be remade

Ideas, Green
Ideas
Trump
Labor
It pays,
To be creative
Creativity
Is greener
Than the blue
Collar
Work force
Work is work
Physically
Mentally
Just as tiring
Mind’s drain
Body’s pain
All the same
Only contrast
Is the pay
Ideas,
Change the world
Labor builds
Ideas swarm the office
While labor,
Swarms the field
Golden rings
Calluses
Life
Glamorous
Or rugged
Though
Both are honest
Earned
So it may seem
Ideas
Trump
Labor,
Blue
Ideas,
Make
Green...
