BROWNIES
i’m baking brownies
have scraped the mixing bowl clean
sniff the aroma
now the kid-in-me comes out
how I stole a piece stole out
Grab your eggs, vanilla, flour,
Butter melts inside the pan.
Chocolate beats creamy tan.
Heat up for an hour
Become a fan
of Brownies.
Gran-d!
Brownies, goblins and gargoyles too
Entered the laces of a good girl’s shoe
She danced up a storm
With my cousin Norm
At the end, she had plenty of woo.
I munched on some brownies with cheer
But soon things became unclear
The world spun around
I fell to the ground
And laughter reduced me to tears
There once was a myth wid a lisp.
She made brownies wid a wide whisp.
Leaving chunks, she swore,
the batter she wore,
this myth burnt the batch to a crisp.
Fairy lights twinkle among mushrooms gold
Brownies and elves come out to give us a look.
Trixie and I are now on the hook.
Please put our imaginations on hold.
