Whinging Willy sure felt silly
Placing a wager on a chestnut filly
Who ran around all willy nilly
Bringing up the rear in the Derby of Dilly
A little discipline when young drives away foolishness from a child

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.
Here he comes, bringing up the rear
So proud to be one of the guys
Blowing me kisses drenched in beer
As he wolfs down several pies
One tortured attempt at a promising leer
Whilst he fumbles with his flies
He’s no idea that I’m sat here
Planning my goodbyes!
The only one along this road…
riding shotgun through my mind
Tomorrow waits for someone else,
lost wanderings consigned
Forgetting what the moment augurs,
living in the past
Confirming what I’m most afraid of
—behind whoever’s last
(The New Room: January, 2022)
The question is,
should I listen to my imagination?
Sometimes it can go very wild,
I look for a lion ready to eat me alive.
There are times it can go romantic,
with hearts and love all over the page.
It has a way of bringing up my old memories,
some happy, maybe sad, or funny as can be.
In Playground of Imagination,
I never know what will show up.
Last year you were looking as good friends
yet today i feel that you're bringing up troubles
a baby with a green eye
was born in japan
grown up in your mind
feeding of your dark side
tell me why the hate
is taking up your smile
why don't you just offer him a flower
of a yellow color
you can't take away what he deserves
if you are jealous try to be the best
multifaceted contemplation
stimulated through the
sounds of the musical notes
rising and falling with each
and every beat rush across
my subconscious
bringing up many
purposely hidden
facets of the past
self with it's forgotten
aspects
bring to the surface
parts of the self that
have gone away that
no longer remain within
the current selves state
of personal reality
I want to start over
With each a clean slate,
Without bringing up the past
Or rehashing mistakes.
I want to get back to “us”
And push the “reset”
I have already forgiven
Now I want to forget
We spend our time fighting
Just assigning the blame
Nothing gets resolved
So our fights are all the same
Can you imagine going back
To where it all began
When we didn’t need to lie
Because we were just friends?
Best friends forever
Always together
Looking for someone to blame
No need to be guessing
Not here for the blessing
Keep bringing up your name
In case you've forgot
They gladly name drop
Always ready to play
Both long time buddies
Swim water that's muddy
So close, could be one and the same
What you should do
Is let them both loose
Don't even join in with their game
Whatever you've heard
Don't believe a single word
They are liars, both Guilt and Shame
Ghost
Sightings are hard to ignore
Especially since they cause such
An uproar
Along the sea coast.
Where old sailors start to boast
About how their beings with unfinished
Business as they're bringing up stories
Of forgotten captains, mates, and sea lore.
Ghost
Sightings are hard to ignore
Undermost
Normal circumstances throw in love,
Treasure, and gore
Naturally people will want to hear more.
They'll even go online and read every post.
Ghost
Sightings are hard to ignore.
